So many people comment on how quiet the place is... but for me that is a huge selling point. I really dislike crowds and human sardine situations. I feel like I have space to breathe at BSC. A lot of open space and greenery. And I feel it is quite pet friendly too.

QUOTE(BEANCOUNTER @ Jul 1 2019, 09:37 PM) Not so simple... council laws also important... Shah Alam, PJ, KL all have different laws regarding dogs... dog owners nowadays have to take into account all this things. Even if can keep pet, there are different rules about the pet also. Even some places restrict breeds, must wear muzzle, etc all this have to check. I did my research on most of the local councils... to ensure that my pets have the best life I can offer them. |

QUOTE(BEANCOUNTER @ Jul 2 2019, 08:00 PM) One pet. Friend, got other things to consider, not just those things you mention. Example. If more than one, both must be under certain age Tis is for intermediate. Smd and bungalow you can keep more pets.. Breeds....nostly standard lah..... 1) MBSA/ MBSJ requires written permission from neighbours. 2) MBKL allows small dogs in flats/ condo. As far as I know other councils don't allow. 3) MBKL requires proof of Canine Good Citizen cert. Others don't. 4) MBSJ has different fees for sterilized and unsterilized dogs. And they allow 2 dogs not one, don't care intermediate or whatever. All this matter tau. This post has been edited by Gwynplaine: Jul 3 2019, 12:48 PM |

since topic of pets going on, would like to ask some question too...
many resident here like to build garden within their boundary with flower or plants which is okay...but some of the owner even raising rooster/chicken in their yard, and its random crowing/berkokok even can be heard from houses rows away. house with individual title no way to stop this ? QUOTE(BEANCOUNTER @ Jul 3 2019, 07:14 PM) Where got cat lah, cat no need license. Dog have to license, that's where the mafan nonsense things all come out. You can interview dog owners in housing under MBSA. My own relative had to get consent letter from neighbour. Just absolutely the most leceh thing. You can check out the Lowyat threads also, a lot of them talk about this. This post has been edited by Gwynplaine: Jul 4 2019, 12:15 PM |

Consent letters sound reasonable to some, but not to others..This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Jul 7 2019, 03:08 PM |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Jul 7 2019, 03:04 PM) For me personally I have never encountered a problem with Muslim neighbours. I would not bring that into the equation, as you would have Muslim neighbours who don't mind at all, and you have non-Muslim neighbours out to make your pet's life hell. People are different everywhere. Of course we have to be understanding, if it's a majority Muslim neighbourhood, it's just not civic-minded to have a dog in such an area. For me the consent letter infringes on owner's right, the property owner should have some rights to keep an animal within the compound. The purpose of a dog license should be to ensure the animal is not a health risk, i.e. they are properly vaccinated against diseases that might harm humans/ other animals, rabies for example. The rule to have only one or two for certain house types, is also good. Otherwise people will have 50 toy poodles in one house, which is abuse already. I support licensing dogs 100%, it's just the way some councils overdo the rules and make it not about the animal. This post has been edited by Gwynplaine: Jul 8 2019, 12:09 PM |

Ya , Dogs do have their rights to bark whenever they want to, at any volume, human have no rights or entitlements to a quiet and nice rest. Ya be more considerate and have more respect for dogs' rights, perhaps is a workable solution. For me the consent letter infringes on owner's right, the property owner should have some rights to keep an animal within the compound.
