Accidents could always happen to any aircrafts & helicopters regardless who the makers are.

A brand new Airbus A400M for Turkey crashed while on a test flight killing all it's Airbus crew. That doesn't mean the Europeans are unreliable.

Even an PAK-FA caught fire that doesn't mean the Russian are unreliable.

In just one month 2 US Army Apache crashed killing 2 of it's crew that doesn't mean the Americans are unreliable.

The KAI & Lockheed T50 is in the competition for the USAF T-X program to replace the T-38 Talon.
*
Agree...US lost a lot of air assets this year...in November alone..an Apache in SoKor and a Blackhawk...followed with the more recent one in Fort Campbell

The biggest Russian lost this year was probably the upgraded Tu-95MS

tldr; mcd employee cosplayed with full army uniform, a violation of the law and the defence ministry will take court action against the outlet

Although they look slightly better than average, the uniform does increase their attractiveness level, worth a second look

HE is different from HEAT. HE is solid-packed while HEAT is hollow charge. You can get away with a conventional-looking shell with HE load, but I think HEAT need to have specialized shape, especially the probe.

HEAT rounds on left and HE round at right

Also, I am also coming into the belief that the shot is from an X-rod, a rocket-assisted guided tank shell. If you google "x-rod fired from tank" most of the images will be the same as the one I have posted.

The ones with protruding element on left is... tandem-warhead HEAT

A warhead with a tandem charge will have a much more prominent fuze probe.

Both warheads could also be housed inside in a single container

not a good thing.. it shifts the balance of power in the region

Well....Indonesia naturally should have the strongest armed forces in the region, based on the population and territory.

But they still under-spend on military things, no intention to make intrusion on neighbors and they know neighbors won't dare to intrude them.

That's pretty much near-impossible to do, considering Chechens are invariably the best fighters IS have at at the moment.  laugh.gif

Yeah...probably not removing all Chechens; but can still confirm that there are spies among Chechens. The best way is to ask Chechens to redeem themselves by turning suspected spies from among their ranks.

why is it with such formidable power they still cant defense themsleve against the NK?

i kept on reading that SK will only be able to fight back with US help, and that also after NK steamroller it's way all the way till seoul first!
*
I'm confident that SK can protect their themselves against NK full conventional assault....

equipment with better quality and quantity
bigger population that's well trained for emergency situations. ROKR has 4.5 million strong reserve personnel. At least five reserve infantry divisions can be deployed quickly, with more assembled later.

ROKAF and ROKN will quickly assume air/sea superiority on their own, while striking Pyongyang, missile sites, power plants, bridges and other strategic sites

However, the government may need to be evacuated from Seoul, it's too close to the border, vulnerable to missile attacks or can even be captured by NK in early phase of the war

to prevent coup..
*
That's not true...TNI has no tradition of conducting a coup, like Thai's armed forces. They strongly want to maintain stability, to the point that they opposed Gus Dur's (their own supreme commander of chief) decree to dismantle the parliament in 2001.

During that time, they got ridiculously low budget, due to economic problems....but despite all the hardships, TNI proved to be a strong stabilizing factor and kept the country together.....

When he ascended to the presidency, one of Wahid's goals was to reform the military and to take it out of its dominant socio-political role. In this venture, Wahid found an ally in Agus Wirahadikusumah who he made Commander of Kostrad in March. In July, Agus began uncovering a scandal involving Dharma Putra, a foundation with affiliations to Kostrad. Through Megawati, TNI members began pressuring Wahid to remove Agus. Wahid gave in to the pressure but then planned to have Agus appointed as the Army Chief of Staff to which TNI top brass responded by threatening to retire and Wahid once again bowed down to pressure.[42]
Wahid's relationship with the TNI deteriorated even further when in July it was revealed that Laskar Jihad had arrived in Maluku and was being armed by the TNI. Laskar Jihad, a radical Islamic militia had earlier in the year planned to go to Maluku and assist Muslims there in their communal conflict with the Christians. Wahid had ordered TNI to block Laskar Jihad from going to Maluku, but nevertheless they still made it to Maluku and they were then being armed with what turned out to be TNI weapons.
*
See.....with relationship that deteriorated to that extend....still no coup, even with very low defence budget

Stealthiness also depends on the plane's pitch, roll and yaw. In this position and with the weapon bay open, F-22 appears clearly on any radar system

If that position perpendicular to radar wave no need weapon bay also can detect haha..
*
Of course...it looks like a huge sail, but with the bay open, the stealthiness further degraded, because the interior of the bay has no RAM.

It's an extreme case of the "unstealthiness" of F-22

Russia’s 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade was responsible for MH17 disaster

user posted image

The Bellingcat team of investigative citizen journalists have published a new report into the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17. The team concluded that the Buk unit that fired the missile was from Russia’s 2nd Battalion of the 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.

In its 115-page report entitled “MH17 – Potential Suspects and Witnesses from the 53rd Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade”, the team identified dozens of officers and men from the unit, whom they believe will shed more clues on the incident.

I think...I agree with the article. PAK FA can get its 5th status when it has used izdeliye 30 engine and Byelka radar
