Whichever side they're on, Arab forces seem to suffer from poor military skills and bad tactics. Both Russian and NATO forces seem to agree on this.
30mm, amphibious, APC w/ RWS, ATGM, mortar, recon, command, sigint, recovery, engineer/NBC, ambulance, and maintenance... for UK that would be Warrior, Viking, Mastiff MRAP, Swingfire (discontinued), FV432 mortar, Scorpion (soon Ajax), Sultan (soon Athena), RC-135 tongue.gif, Samson (soon Atlas), Fox, Samaritan, FV432 (soon Apollo).

We just settle on 1 common chassis which is sensible. For our limited mechanisation that's actually not bad. Should save costs. The only variant out of the ordinary is the sigint one. Drone operator vehicle? Anyone know more details about AV8 TOE structure? Looks like about 4 battalions worth to me.

The UK Scout SV program is their very own F35... decades late and underdelivering. Our recon variant has mast mounted sensor which Ajax controversially doesn't, and they have no ATGM variant.

The problem is AV8 project is too ambitious for our budget.
Having too many variant limit our budget to procure in number.
The government should have developed 2-3 variant at a time and buy 300-500units of them.
Additional variants can develop later.
These would allows less burden on our budget, the project can move much faster and we are able to develops more expertise in later production.

Designing the interior compartment of every AV8 variants would add cost also.

The interior compartment didn't add too much cost but integrating system buying those variant equipment, system and electronic in small number is very costly.

Sure. Costlier than the process to buy new chassis for the later roles, with all the ahem songlap and so on... and the delays? See our navy so many classes, until now I don't understand why we can't mass produce 2 or 3 types.

At least it looks like an okay chassis. Somehow we caught the 8x8 and mast mount trends also. Not bad.

But while we're admiring our AV8, Terrex 2 gets shortlisted for USMC vehicle... sweat.gif

Philippines to Spend Big on Massive Military Modernization

Back then, because of lack of equipment, there was a soldier in a sensitive operation carrying a purple backpack from a fast food chain. I just don't think a purple backpack is suited for an operation in the jungle," he told soldiers.

Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the country's armed forces, Aquino said his administration had already spent 56.79 billion pesos of the full 2017 disbursement on "big-ticket" modernization programs, the Defense News reported.

Apocalyptic scenes of Damascus suburb obliterated by violent clashes (RT EXCLUSIVE DRONE FOOTAGE)

QUOTE
Before the conflict in Syria erupted in 2011, the neighborhood was home to some 300,000 residents, most of whom were Sunni Muslims. The suburb contained a number of ancient landmarks, most notably the Green Synagogue, the oldest Jewish synagogue in the world. It also contained the Grand Jobar Mosque in addition to the tomb of the Prophet Elijah. Jobar also housed ancient baths that were built during Ottoman times.

Navy differ case. Budget hardly allows us to mass produce for naval ship procurement.
Also couple with mismanagement and political and as well as lack of systemtic procurement planning.
We did try to mass produce kedah class but unfortunately songlap have hampered it.
Though it later have been rectify it to sgpv and the government still have contract obligation to buy up to 27 ships.

K lah I'm in the mood to cukur over the AV8s... though rather than amphib I'd have liked options for add-on RPG cage, anti-IED hull... and yeah more cameras, that Singkiepork Terrex has 10 full HD cameras for 360 degree view!

Aquino ineligible for erection but spend on military? Inb4 coup inkambing
