Maklumat terbaharu yang kami perolehi dari sumber yang boleh dipercayai mengatakan mulai tahun hadapan, Proton berkemungkinan akan beralih kepada transmisi CVT dari Jatco bagi menggantikan unit CVT dari Punch Powertrain untuk model Iriz 2016. Ini suatu perkembangan positif dan amat dinanti-nantikan kerana terlalu banyak rungutan mengenai CVT dari Punch Powertrain yang dikatakan mengeluarkan bunyi yang agak bising selain tidak terlalu lancar dan kurang kecekapan dalam penggunaan bahan api. Transmisi CVT dari Jatco itu menggunakan mekanisma penukar tork (torque converter) berbanding CVT dari Punch Powertrain.

Selain itu Iriz 2016 yang dipertingkatkan itu bakal mempunyai tambahan spesifikasi seperti pendingin hawa automatik, sensor parkir hadapan dan bantuan titik buta (blind spot assist). Proton juga akan memperkenalkan Iriz versi 1.3 Turbo dengan transmisi manual enam-kelajuan dari Getrag pada tahun hadapan. Dikatakan enjin 1.3 Turbo dengan VVT itu mampu menjana 140 hp pada 5,750 rpm dengan 190 Nm tork dan bakal menjadikannya Iriz paling laju dan berkuasa. Bulan Oktober lalu semasa karnival Alami Proton, sebuah model prototaip Iriz 1.3 Turbo telah dipamerkan di Pusat Penyelidikan dan Pembangunan Proton.

Sedikit perkembangan mengenai model gantian Persona (Iriz sedan) yang kini sedang giat dibangunkan dan bakal memulakan pra-produksi dalam masa yang terdekat. why no jatco CVT with turbo? shiok wei.. turbo 1.3 is all within specs/power/torque of a 2L teana engine using xtronic cvt.

low rv also.. cos ppl will say the old gbox not so good as the latest one.

From the transmisiion picture, it is not cvt. It is conventional transmission and water cool. Punch is air cool.

That's why I believe if want to buy Proton.

Finally a Proton (original) without the lap sap PUNCH CVT noisy macam gila.


The PUNCH CVT + CAMPRO has always been Proton's main achilless heels. Now they have fix 50% of the problem. Let's see if Campro still makan minyak with a Jatco or not. If still makan, cannot blame PUNCH CVT for not being fuel efficient....

Maybe iwill buy one just to drive to pasar buy vege.
