It is good that you made your own decision to buy a property, after considering some plus factors vs some bad one. Actually it is your own money, hence u are entitled to a decision of your own.

Me too, I bought a property in CJ and happily moving in.

Even in the most democratic country in the world let say USA ? , I still do not like the free shooting everywhere so frequently in that country.

Can u really sleep well if such thing is happening near the place u are staying like if with ..USA scenario but for me I can sleep peacefully in Cyberjaya.

So draw your own list of pro and con, if you prefer to stay in a very congested area/traffic, then put it as a pro , actually no right or wrong thing, remember just your own choice.

And do not be a slave to others, by allowing them to make a decision for you.

Choose a lifestyle that is suited for you and your wife , and do not force yourself to live in someone's shadow and stay unhappy with.

I do not really particular about which is which, but I enjoy the " freedom to roam about " .

IOI City Mall is just about 10 to 15 min of driving ..and the road from my place is congestion free , I just enjoy the journey , so I do not consider City Mall as Putrajaya or what not ....No visa or passport needed. The freedom to go where I like

To me, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya is just one same township ( my personal interpretation ) . There is no need to draw a line between the 2......

My child joins Herriot Watt this year, a U with nice lake view also, RM 50m set up if have not mistaken ?

We need to be fair to our children , assess whether they can cope with their studies first.

What is the point of sending them to the among the " best" U , or taking the Best Studies ( to show off ? ) , and turning the children into failures if they could not really cope with and later drop out.

30% of our U new graduates are jobless and some are selling naki lemak after graduations , so there is no guarantee for success , Life after U .

Parents should be realistic and be open minded....and let the children enjoy their U life..........my choice maybe

Ya look at the bright side, if CJ turned out to be more successful than SV years ago, then could be less chances for some of us to buy affordable properties in CJ . All could start with ..min ..Millions plus plus ...........

Early plans mostly for commercial developments, less for residential , later changed coz it failed to be SV...so we have a chance to stay in CJ, right ?

There would not be Mid Valley today if not because of many early planned developments for that pc of land failed .. badly

What I mean is many smaller projects were planed on that pc of land many years back, one after another , the projects failed to take off ..If one of them turned out to be successful in a super mini scale, it might just be called Mini Valley.

Then , there is no chance to build a super big one called MV , like the present one , or could be some Condos there too.

For me , I imagine there is an indirectly link with Cyberjaya and Mid Valley

As I say it is just my own imagination, so haters can either agree or disagree , no right or wrong thing.

The next MV could be IOI City Mall, in time to come could be even bigger than MV coz still have lots of vacant lands there.

And my place is just a 8 to 15 min drive to IOI City Mall without congestion. If u travel in whichever direction to MV , the chance of getting into a congested traffic is very high too.

So in my mind , IOI City Mall is the " MV " ..I assume so

Don't u think there would be an impact on Cyberjaya if the whole world knows about IOI City Mall.

Malaysia has good tourist population , and Malacca Airport was a ghost airport about one year ago , but going for large expansion soon , perhaps a new one would be built.

Again, just my imagination only. I cannot see the future too

But the " worst " for me is I worry it is over developed ..congested and so on

Best for me is " just nice " developed ...

Hard to get " Organic " coz the developers tend to simply build when there is a crazy demand time

Yr statement reminds me of a real true story happened in the past ..i.e History

My ex Boss wanted to buy a piece of unwanted land ( on Bank lelong list for many years ).

The Board of Directors got worry, and I was assigned to get a Bank Loan , and I had to research and supply bank with materials needed ..also included future prospect perhaps ?

That pc of unwanted land later turned out to be a hot cake after our co bought it ...appreciation of land now could be in the region of 25X ...

This one is real and not imagined one .

Of course Haters now would say u just need to close 1 eye or even both eyes to buy a pc of land out of KL last time, they would guarantee u to make the money .

Businesses and Investments always involve risk one , either big or small...no such thing as zero risk......

We share the same view...

My former place is one long winding road shared by many Gardens , somemore more tall Condos coming up .

U need to stay in such a place long enough , then u start to appreciate and FEEL the beauty of CJ..

Haters may lack this exp ..coz they mostly come from very high class areas......so they do not get the FEEL of it.

Yrs choices sound normal to me.

My Japanese boss used to travel 300km by train to play Golf, sometimes in the rain too. To him, it is normal lah.

To many Malaysians with diff mindsets, BB is damn far ...from CJ.

We fight like dogs and cats over Hot Dog ..our Culture lah

Can we call it the 8th Wonder of the World ? ..coz at the end of the day, we still stay peacefully together .
