public transport is typically subsidized operation.

Just look at KTM and SPAD operation.

Do not think the consideration is to be profitable or not.
*
If profit is not the consideration...then why bother to increase fares every now and then? Ah kong will aubsifize mah?

Look at MAS, why needs to restructure? Losing money 1/2billion every quarter ok what....serving the public nia...why so uptight about the figures?

ptj and cbj road was not designed or built with tram in consideration, construction may cost more than monorail. putraja holdings is unlikely to allow tram network to disrupt ecstatic scenery/view. a cabinet minister doesn't have the power or budget to implement such a project, unless it is announced by ah jib gor, should take it with a truck load of salt.

believe frequent electric bus is cheaper and effective solution.

U r right on prioritize the spending of public money...just like govt might closed the road for mat rempit street racing, I just hope it is not held in putrajaya or cbj.

However, caterpillar do have his point, since iceman said cyber road is not plan for tram, then his question is which road is pre-plan for tram ? he cant answer then throw back the question ? sounds not right..

Don't get me wrong. I like Cyberjaya but I'm not biased for facts.

I agree if ppl comment that kl city jam is worst than putrajaya/Cyberjaya. Nothing to argue.

But comments like @icemanfx, it's just plain bullshit. That's why I question him for the facts. So don't blame it as if Cyberjaya lover is bashing haters. Get real.

I dont understand why Putrajaya/Sibehfarjaya not suitable for tram.

I think these area is well fitted with tram based on below:

1. Wide road and wide road side reserve
2. Well planned and straight road
3. Low density - If high density like KL, best still LRT/MRT
4. Low cost of public transport infra

Well, i'm also agree other place should priotize first like Penang,KK,JB,and outskirt of KL

But think well, public transport should plan and built before a township become matured just like other country, now until the water reach nose level only think of gorek lubang.

Photo is tramway located outsskirt of Paris like our PJ/Shah Alam, i took before and is pretty comfort and much better than metro/bus for sub-urban people mover.

Spot on, I took the tram in Melbourne and it's so convenient coz it's hop on hop off at road level. I really love to see tram implemented in Malaysia especially places like Georgetown, Malacca town, putrajaya/Cyberjaya.

Which junction in cbj could accommodate tram turning? How many road in cbj could give up 2 lanes for tramway?

I believe there is no tram expert here to answer your question....but

compare to HK, and some other Europe country which have tram in the city...Cyber road is wider & broader.

not necessary tram is 2 lanes all the way to the end, it can share 1 lane at certain point
