Can you separate your story in paragraphs? Anything more than 3-5 lines are hard on the eyes.

Bro, please read everything la, a guy who claimed that he works in digi offer to sell me a subsidies phone (which means cheaper than market price la) using other people's account in digi and advertise it in muday.my
but i'm not trying to highlight this guy working in digi or the subsidise phone. what i'm trying to say is and also like what you say above all the telco need verification in order for them to suspend our line, correct or not? but for my case the scammer only need to provide my phone no and ic no. and no recording for that as well. don't you think the telco need a more stringent verification process like asking for our address, how we pay our bill or maybe give us account holder a return call to verify?

I have read the whole post from you many many times shocking.gif

Again as per what you said "a guy who claimed that he works in digi offer to sell me a subsidies phone (which means cheaper than market price la) using other people's account in digi and advertise it in muday.my"
Are you know what you have done are consider as fraud as well ?? doh.gif
How can you misuse others people account for registration without their concern and you know it at the first place but you still proceed vmad.gif

Again, for the maxis center suspend your number, as you have provided your details to scammer at the first place (IC, address, Full Name, Credit card details etc.. ) As long as the scammer manage to provide those details, of course the call center staff will proceed for the suspension as per request doh.gif

I dont think the story and post you share benefits you in anyway...

seriously I'm really confuse with TS story!

normally for verification purpose. the CS will ask full name, IC number & address. if all this 3 is correct. they would proceed to next step icon_rolleyes.gif

Now you telling me you read the whole post many many times but did I mention in the post I pass my IC AND ADDRESS to him?
Read properly la doh.gif I just mentioned I pass my IC NO. and in case your don't know what IC NUMBERS is, pull out your IC now, the 16 digit above the chip is your ic numbers. So how the scammer got my address?

Don't come to me now with your moral high ground and teach me what is legal or illegal now, the bloody whole thing is a scam and I have been to the police station yesterday. the point is we as a maxis customer deserve much better protection.

For example, when you are trap in a fire and you can't use your bloody phone and luckily you manage to escape through the dog's hole and later you realise that your phone has been suspended by someone and that someone only need to provide your phone number and IC NUMBER to suspend it, how will you feel? HAPPY with your telco security or you feel more security is needed. Your phone number and your ic number are very common nowadays, don't you think? If I can ONLY provide this two to the telco and manage to suspend your line, do you feel safe? If you can honestly answer me and tell me that you can feel safe and satisfy with their procedures which require only your phone number and ic numbers to suspend your line or your love one's line than I totally rest my case with you.

Even when I spoke to Communications & Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia through their hotline 1800182222, they also agreed that based on only this two information the telco cannot suspend my line and also they should have recording regarding the conversation from the other party who suspend my line. Now maxis are telling me no bloody recording, don't you think there are some hanky panky going on?

bro..did you make police report? You should have done so cause it will be more effective to make maxis work faster in resolving your case. Also, they scammer might use your details for other things. The police report will come in handy in the future.

Also..the guy is really suspicious in the beginning...you are too trusting and pass him your CC just like that. Really need to be careful with identity theft.

Bro, don't be confused,i will try my best to explain to you. like you said normally when we call up the call centre and for verification purpose they will ask some security question like full name, ic number, address, how we make payment and how we receive statement and also with our conversation recorded, right?
But my issue with maxis is, on that particular day, the scammer only need to provide them with my name, ic number and phone number for verification. What happen to the address, statement receive, how we make payment thing? Don't need to ask? And also what happen to the recording? Cannot provide me. Saying no recording.

Bro, will you feel secure if someone need only your ic number and full name to suspend your line? That's why I wanted to bring this attention to all maxis user that we are no more safe with them.

Bro, thank you for your advice, already done police report and the scammer has been caught. rclxms.gif

Why I wanted to bring this experience to all maxis user is because I think they (maxis) needed a much better verification system so that we can avoid any tom dick and harry which can provide them with our full name, ic numbers and phone number can suspend our line without our consent. Don't you think this 3 info are very common nowadays? Any tom dick and harry might have it.
What happen to the others security questions like address, how we make payment and how we receive monthly statement? No, maxis did not ask that day. Even no recording of the scammer conversation. This is why i feel we are not secure enough from third party sabotaging our line.

The seller claim he got lubang for cheap phone because he working in Digi

IMO, this info can be omitted cause a bit confusing and adds nothing to the investigation

Btw what sampah alasan Maximum Shit aka Maxshit is giving? Every call is recorded. Every call need authentication info. What bullshit serpent ular story putar belit Max Shit is giving? Sampah telco try cover up it seems. Not surprised of the serpent attitude.
