I've been using Kaspersky for quite a while now... Satisfied with it as it has user-friendly interface & good detection rate but quite annoying pop-ups! No big deal as it can be disable... Wah, i see a lot of forumers here recommend Eset as well, might wanna try it myself to see how it performs...

QUOTE(rebelsoul76 @ Feb 3 2009, 07:07 PM) As far as I know, there's no local distributor for Avira products. But since you're satisfied with Avira, why not use a combination of Avira Antivir Free + Webroot Desktop Firewall (also free), like what I'm using now? The only downside is, it doesn't have email/spam/internet/privacy protection No one selling, seriously?! Aiks... asked a few friends on IT line, same reply too. But, according to them, the paid version update speed is faster than the free version? True or false? And more features?

But, according to them, the paid version update speed is faster than the free version? True or false? And more features? The free version of Avira had some very slow servers or limited bandwidth, therefore it updates very slowly. But they seem to have upgraded or increased the bandwidth for quite some time now. It updates fairly quickly now (but may still be slower than paid version) Yes. The paid version has some additional features that the free version does not: AntiPhishing AntiSpyware AntiRootkit Email protection Award winning malware protection

How do you know that voter voted for Kaspersky because his/her friends says Kaspersky good? How do you know if voter voted for Kaspersky but never actually used Kaspersky? Plus, this thread is from ancient time, it's not accurate, not anymore.

This poll was from 2006, for blademaster sake That time sure Kaspersky dominates, but currently it doesn't. That's why I said this poll is inaccurate. It's based on the old products and old performances. And oh, you did say all 249 are Kaspersky supporters, so that's why I ask, how do you know? And the votes are still there because you can't change your vote and admin didn't deleted this thread off the forum. This post has been edited by FarCry3r: Feb 12 2009, 12:34 PM

With outdated information like this, people are hidden from the facts that there's other good antiviruses today besides Kaspersky...
