couldn't find much about restoring deleted accounts on mac os x unless you have already made a backup which I assume that you haven't. The only hope here is to use a data recovery software, after a lil googling here is what I found:

http://www.subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/ind...o&products_id=1

a lil pricey but may worth it if the data is really your life and death matter. Important piece of advice is you STOP using your mac as much as you can to prevent the deleted files from being overwritten. Basically deleting a file only marks it as overwritable so there's some hope of recovering them. Good luck.

Now we all wish we got Time Machine...

Well just confirm that you have deleted from OSX or deleted the folder of the user in the Accounts folder or just relocated or just renamed it? There's still hope somewhere but of course first place to look in the Thrash which I assume you did.

If not try keying in the name of that account and search for it anywhere in your HDD.

Good luck!

Ps: Try to remember if you ever did sync your contacts anywhere else, you may have luck there...

It depends what method you delete the user.
restorable:
- From Accounts -> When you click the "-" remove -> OK (all date in the user folder will be saved in "Deleted Users" folders.

non-restorable:
- From Accounts -> When you click the "-" remove -> Delete Immediately
- Delete the user's folder in Finder & emptied trash.

Is the account's home folder encrypted?

since you're using it for personal data, im assuming you may have turned on the encryption. If that were the case, you may need a few supercomputers to decrypt your files tongue.gif
