Hi I saw HLB FD with 4.5% for 6 month which is quite good, may I know is it possible that I go to the branch and open the FD account then transfer my money via online like CimbClicks or MB2U? Or I need to put the money when I open the account?

If you have a Mach account, you can place it online without needing to visit the bank. However you better call up HLB and asked them money transferred from another bank via online is it counted as fresh. End of the day, if you don't have a Mach account, you will still need to visit HLB counter to place the FD.

HLB FD with 4.5% for 6 month will paid monthly interest. You would need to open an SA account with HLB if you don't have one with HLB.
With the SA, you can transfer in your fund online from elsewhere and proceed to the branch for the promo FD placement.

If your town have a HLB Mach branch, you can consider open a MoneyBox saving account.
You can then do promo 4.5% promo FD online. This is more convenient. Come to maturity time, you can withdraw your FD online. If you do via branch, I was told that I need to back to the same branch for withdrawal.

Thanks for answer, but unfortunately I stay in Melaka and hometown is JB and I checked the location for Mach branch all are located in KL so I can only open normal saving account. If like this then I need to open two account which is saving account and FD account?
