QUOTE(galaxynote259 @ Feb 11 2016, 06:07 PM) I was in AmBank just now. Saw it and asked the manager. It is NOT pure FD. It is with UT purchase. I think it is 4.8% for 15 mth, not 4.9% (saw it on their screen, unless my eyes played trick on me). Anyway since the manager told me it is with UT purchase, I did not enquire more details. QUOTE(wr6969 @ Feb 11 2016, 01:21 PM) Shifted some funds from CIMB to HLB today. Both 4.2% conventional 3 month and 4.5% 6 month Islamic FD still available at Kelana Jaya branch. only one branch promo? the rest of RHB dont carried this promo? Effective date for both conventional and Islamic FD is now the day you placed the FD (at least if done using banker's cheque). Previously, Islamic FD's effective date is 2 working days after you placed the FD. RHB is also putting flyers in postboxes telling people of their 4.45% 12 month FD offer. This branch must be quite desperate for funds [attachmentid=5982134] |

just to share about CIMB maturity date.
the due date for one FD cert for 2 mths tenture, is dated 2 mths + 1 day instead of usual 2 mths, possibly because it's placed after 4pm. let's say put FD on 11 FEB, usually due date is 11 APR, but this one is 12 APR despite the effective date is 11 FEB, i checked via CIMB Clicks, i did get interest for 11 FEB, so it's ok for me. QUOTE(edwardccg @ Feb 12 2016, 02:21 PM) so RHB now will have 2 promo which end on same 31 March 2016? i reckon both still applicable. the 15-month fd has a plus point is that it pays interest every 3 months, and no penalty if withdrawal during any of those 3-month period.Seems like the 12 month one would replace the 15 month promo for additional 0.05% - 15 month step up FD - effective 4.4% - 12 month FD 4.45% the 4.45% 12 months sounds like the straightforward one. Didn't manage to ask at RHB branch. Will ask when i pass by. |

Anyone placed FD at Mid Valley? Is it a full fledged branch that accepts FD? I am thinking of going there this weekend to place 4.5% FD.
Thanks. EDIT: Mid Valley ground floor branch This post has been edited by wjchay: Feb 12 2016, 02:46 PM |

QUOTE(babysiew @ Feb 5 2016, 08:26 AM) BoomChaCha, thanks for the picture. Do u need to open an acct with Affin if u r not their customer be4? as in savings so that the interest can be deposited? Thanks! Sorry for the late reply.Happy CNY in advance all! Yes, according to Affin Bank, FD depositors will need to open a saving account as a prerequisite to place FD in Affin, FD interest will pay upon FD maturity. FD depositors have an option whether to credit interest to saving account upon FD maturity, or credit principal + interest to saving account and etc.. I also seldom eat abalone, wouldn't know real or fake. Maybe you can leave them a feedback. Mushroom so cheap one ah?? can't believe it's just RM15. If RM15, might as well credit it to our interest in FD. Save one journey to the bank. |

I was wondering does BR know those abalones and sotong are fake or not? I agree, I would rather to take cash RM 15 as extra bonus to credit to my saving account instead.. Really not worth the trip to go to BR to pick-up a lousy hamper like this lah..fooled by BR again this time.. But luckily I managed to ask for a 2016 diary book..
