Hi you'll have to check with Asus Malaysia directly if you are going to open up your laptop, even though the ODD is usually only one screw. Check out: http://hddcaddy.com/en/asus-hdd-caddy/1323...-hdd-caddy.htmlLocally: http://www.11street.my/productdetail/orico...support-6850564 You just have to make sure what your ODD size in your Asus is, looks to be 9mm or 9.5mm, do verify it. The other thing to note is the "faceplate transfer" which the first link above will explain. Good luck!

QUOTE(Djkarut @ Dec 15 2015, 06:04 PM) i forgot to ask, but how will it affect my warranty ? For Asus I am not sure. For MSI Gaming laptops we have got confirmation on these forums that, officially, replacing ODD (as it doesn't involve heatsink, etc.), AFAIK, one can do it themselves as long as no damage has been done (like accidentally snapping a cable, bending the motherboard, etc.), it will still be covered by warranty. Again, while the procedure is usually quite simple, best to check with Asus Malaysia. This post has been edited by klmojuze: Dec 17 2015, 01:40 PM
