i heard that there is also an easier way to get ACCA.
but it use 4 years..
it's a degree course for accounting. then after u get ur degree, u can go for pro level(ACCA). and just need to take the last part of the ACCA exam.

and i wish to knw.normally how long do ppl use to finish up the last part exam of ACCA? as i know there will be about 4 or 5 papers to sit!

and while i'm taking the ACCA exam, could i also work?
coz the ACCA need 3 years working experience only can get the cert rite?
so means while i'm working, i also take the ACCA exam.
so that i wont waste my time.
for example. i take 2 and half year to finish up my ACCA exam, and after half year later then i can get the ACCA cert.

can i do so?

It doesn't concern on your working experience to get a ACCA cert. As long as you pass all the paper, then you'll get. Of course you can work while study ACCA because it really helps ur study. But do find an audit firm job as account asst. to learn more thing and also spare some time to study up ur subject. This is the most recommended way to success in ACCA anyways. Btw, you can take ACCA lesson part time on night so u able to work on the day.

ya...but i heard that after passed the ACCA exam, u need 3 years working experience then only can qualified as a chartered accountant rite?

as my example..is that after half more year then i can be a chartered accountant or i hv to start from begining which i hv to work for 3 more years after i passed my ACCA exam to become a chartered accountant?

Huh, yeah, you need 3 years to become a chartered accountant and working while pursuing ACCA is counted as working experiences.
*
so means it's counted la?
means if i used 2 and half year to complete my ACCA exam, then half more year then i will be qualified as chartered accountant?

errr...... as long as you have 3 years working experiences with a ACCA cert then you are chartered accountant. But doesn't mean that you study ACCA full time then you are entitled also working experiences.

confused...dun get wat u mean. rclxub.gif
is that the working experience which i did while i'm taking the ACCA exam doesnt count to fulfill the requirement to become a chartered accountant?(3 years working exp)

wat i wana ask is...do the working experience that i did while i'm taking the ACCA exam can count as the "working experience" to entitle to be a chartered accountant? hmm.gif

to be a chartered accountant need 3 years working experience!

Huh.. Coolly not around only, this thread started becoming so 'messy'..

Let me answer lcyeap90,
1. The 'last part' of ACCA u meant is wat we called the part 3 level (to be renamed as professional level soon in new syllabus). Part 3 contain 5papers.. I dun agree if u said 'easy way' to obtain a degree then continue part 3 ACCA.. First, not all degree qualify for full exemption n entitile u to straight part 3.. Secondly, ACCA is a prof course, unlike any other degree, if ur unfamiliarize with ACCA (or other such prof course) exam styles/techniques, u cant pass ACCA easily.. I have a master graduated fren studying ACCA n yet failed..

2. normally how long do ppl use to finish up the last part exam of ACCA?
Therz no clear answer to that.. If u meant only refering to malaysian student, i might say average ppl need bout 2years for part3.. depending on studying part time or full time, it makes lot diff..

3. Regarding working experiences question, the answer is YES.. You may work while u study.. 3years working experiences can be obtained anytime b4, during, or after the completion of ACCA study.. Well, other criterias to be fulfill such as working full time, certain tasks; you may contact ACCA for further info either website/email/or phone ACCA Msia..

Hope it clear ur doubt..

ok...then means while i'm working and also taking the part time study ACCA, the working time will be counted as the " working experience" which required by the ACCA to be entitle as chartered accountant after i passed my ACCA la..

ok..problem cleared... thumbup.gif notworthy.gif
