but i afraid ACCA reduce pass rate if questions are easy. my lecturer told me 1.

ya . 2.3 - alan yeo ( kasturi ) very experience tax lecturer.
ya . 2.4 - raj (paac), chow kim tai (ftms), andrew pang (kasturi) . all are good.
ya . 2.5 - joe fang (maybe joining kasturi ) & mr haneef (mc-orange-last sitting segi college) . i think mr haneef is top in kl. my friends said.
ya . 2.6 - sheila john not shine. she from mc-orange.

How can they do that when the passing mark is fixed? At most they can control the marking scheme only, which is still very flexible - examiners are allowed to adjust the marks for your question if they feel you answered well but didn't pick up enough points, and vice versa.

Did you take out 20% portion frm the accommodation?

The award doesn't count for two reason :

First it is a one off income...Mrs Shi Na(or sha ni, wateva) doesn't receive that award on a frequent basis(neither does the company gives away such award on a regular basis)

Or you can argue that the income is not incurred on YA2006. Although the company did decide to give the award on YA2006, The award is only made available to her on YA2007. (i think la)

20% I not sure of the house I not sure, but I think it's irrelevant so i charge the full defined value of the house(200k+ for the house..rich ass)

award is treated as gift and is not taxable and charged under employment income according to choong kwai fatt text book.

i think accomodation we take full defined value of the house but later remember
to deduct from the total income with the rental paid to the employer . i think is RM 12,000, right ? and car value we must calculate using formula method ( 8 eights ) not prescribe value of the car.

choong kwai fatt textbook is the best.


i think i only get 8 to 10 marks out of 25 marks available for this Q2.

2.5 FINANCIAL REPORTING!!!!!!oh my god,when u open the first question it presented so simple,and when u do it with confident,cos H-S,no problem..when u turn to next page section B!!!disaster!!!so disaster!!!i dun even know what is question 3 is all about...and ya,Ratio i expect ,but i didnt expect all 25 Marks!!!! and what with Q2???sooo many adjustment that i rarely did during revision...question 5 huhu,IAS 16 i expect too with IAS 10 yet, i dun know what the question wants,so confused:stars: what happen to IAS 38,37( only 1 line in Q.5 (ii))36??especiallly impairment..and IFRS 8 segment reporting..aiyoo..last sitting no time to finish, tis sitting got time but idle...

Well count me in! i'm definitely gonna sit for it next sem too... I think its one of the toughest 2.5 paper in the history And it had to be this sitting.. grrrr

Never came across tht kinda Q2 adjustments before.. ratio :| so much to write but dunno what to write.... Q3 & Q5 *sigh* no comment la.. Q1 was the only ok-ok one.. the rest all ken die !

I was expecting tht 2.5 wud be easy..since everyone said tht 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 all very easy mah.. I guess i better prepare for the worst for 2.4! Else gone case like 2.5 also..Hehe

Add oil for 3.3 candidates, it's a time pressured paper. Hopefully question 1 will be as simple as possible, and many marks on calculations. And pricing/transfer pricing, risk/uncertainty hopefully as straightforward as possible, use calculations can scrape 35-40+ liao...

hey guys, i really need youradvice on which lecturer and place i should enroll for next sem? i'm thinking to enroll to ftms,paac,or kasturi...before this i'm from KPTM, the lecturer is useless la..so i better find other college.....
for this subject:
F5 Performance Mgt.....(new subject ya)
F6 Taxation...( i feel i fail 2.3 ,so must repeat la)
F7 Financial reporting
F8 Audit and Assurance......
(i dont ihave idea which is the best guys......
I have take a look at Ftms list..is this spencer cheah for F7 good? and joey wong for F8 a good lecturer????
