Hi all,

I understand the question above can be completely Google-able but I would like to know how do you wash and care for your lingerie (especially bra) to make them last long.

One more thing, do you replace yours after certain time or whenever it looks and feels worn out?

all my bras last a really really long time, so the only time I've had to replace them all was when I finally got measured properly and found out that I had been wearing the wrong size all along.

Hand wash. If using machine, put into lingerie net/bag.

My lingerie last pretty much at least 7-8 years.

Thanks for the tips but if i may ask, why fabric softener is not good? I thought that is better for the fabric?

My clothes last that long too haha. Most of the time it's still in wearable condition when I give them away.

Giveaway to maids or charity. Most of the maids that I gave to, all like very happy to receive it. Since it's still in wearable condition. So far haven't come across a bra that's not in wearable condition lol. I guess I'll just throw it out or put into those charity bins.

Some times the bra companies will have promos that if you bring in your old bra, they will give you some coupons/vouchers/cash back in return.

Wah 1 year? That's very fast!
How often do you wear the same bra? Maybe cause I have tons of them also lol. So it doesn't wear out so quickly. None of my bras had wires poking out before. Mostly is the elastic band at the back will go out of shape and looks like it lost it's elasticity.

Hand wash and do not twist it lo.

Never use any softener and best is to air dry under indirect sunlight as direct sunlight may cause the fabric to lose elasticity fast and color fading.
