Intend to grab a AMD R9 380 / GTX 960, with Maybank instalment plan. Which is a good buy?

Either R9 380 4GB from Sapphire @ RM 1040
http://www.lazada.com.my/sapphire-amd-rade...r5-2741977.html

Or GTX 960 4GB from Gigabyte @ RM 1038
http://www.lazada.com.my/gigabyte-gtx-960-...gd-4820534.html

Some may say R9 380 or GTX 960 no need 4GB, 2GB is enough. But 4GB will increase your minimum framerate whenever the game exceeds vram usage. It's more future proof considering most games for the next few years will be console port. Think of Xbox One and PS4 with 8GB Vram.

GTX 960 is only slightly weaker than R9 380, around 5% or so. But it has much lower power consumption. Red or Green depends on your choice. But both option listed above is much better value than that MSI one.

Thanks for the advice bro. I heard lately AMD's drivers a lot of issues. What would you recommend? Since both costs about the same

Drivers wise, both camp are the same, at least since Radeon Software promise almost monthly drivers release starting 2016.
The fan problem from Radeon Crimson had been fixed quickly through hotfix. I don't think there is any other driver issues atm.
I'm an AMD fan actually. But if you ask me to choose between 960 and 380, i'll lean toward 960. Thx TNB for that. And Najib too. Cukur.

True true. Most of the time, the PC would probably sit there idling. I guess whichever has the lowest idle consumption wins. I'll look it up, thanks.

Big question. I know Flash Sale cannot combine with vouchers. But can I do this, for example, purchase RM150 worth of items from flash sale and look for RM60 regular item to make it hit 200. Then apply RM30 coupon.

Lazada is not glitch free (think pedas20). If it is not a mustbuy (ok even if failed), try the best codes for any deal and sometimes it is successful. I tried yesterday on a flash sale item with UFIRST30 and was successful so far, waiting for delivery now.

It's a little confusing sometimes. Flash sale items say cannot apply voucher, which I think is fair. But what if I add something to it? It becomes a gray area biggrin.gif

Then the voucher will only affect the item that can use the voucher. I already tried. Or if there's a minimum amount, it might not even work at all.

Hmm I shall try. Next flash sale coming right up.
