I'm looking for an air fryer and found khind air fryer priced rm338..anyone have use this appliance before?is it same like the conventional deep fried cooking taste?
My company has only 13 staff, but we bought 8 XMA Air fryer in total for staff & relatives. Don't expect deep fry like taste, but quite useful, we've tried
- roast raw peanut & walnut, 10 minutes/ 160 C, need to shake it at 5 minutes.
- roast chicken wings, need to marinate first, taste like Kenny Roger chicken (but skin is not crunchy at all, a bit like BBQ texture)
- roast ikan bilis, oil-free, is crunchy but harder than the deep-fried version
- roast pork [half lean/ half fat type] (rub with 5-spices powder, black pepper, salt), slightly crunchy on the skin, a bit like siew yok.
- roast ikan kembong - UNSUCCESSFUL - the fish is too thick, the inner part is raw but the surface is already very hard, probably because fish meat is too lean.
- roast nugget - simple, quick & nice (no need to defrost, cook directly from freezer)
- can be used like a bread toaster
