updated now....

so use marker pen to mark down the line that i need to cut... i wan to cut a blow hole, cos wan to build a 120mm fan at the front! this part will block the blow go through so have to cut it!
Attached Image

i lazy to take out the stuff, so i just use old paper to cover & lekat it. It will save my time too, haha... rclxub.gif But important is i dont wan let the dust go inside when i am grinding... but i suggest is take off all the stuff and hard ware first will more better ways! This action just for the lazy people only like me!
Attached Image

this is the tool i use to cut the casing... Cloudx call it angle grinder right? tell me if wrong!
Attached Image

everything prepare then start the cutting now... pasang electric, start the angle grinder, then will heard the sound- ghinggg.... ghinggg....
Attached Image

paint the 80mm fan...

this is normal black 80mm fan...
Attached Image

i just bought 2 bottle uv paint...
Attached Image

lekat the surface of the fan with normal sticker...
Attached Image
Attached Image
Attached Image

then tutup the frame by old paper....
Attached Image

first, i paint it with no. 3 silver colour for the 1st layer. cos silver colour can make the 2nd layer colour more bright.... then paint uv green colour. remember dont paint too thick o too many layer on the surface cos it will make the fan more heavy then the speed will decrease(RPM). if use the uv paper lekat on it also not so recommence...
Attached Image
Attached Image
Attached Image

after 20 minutes, take out everything...
Attached Image

this is the look under uv ccfl...

ermmm... u say the uv ccfl switch? that one is original come with the uv ccfl, so i just make a hole on the front panel then straight pasang only.

i think the switch on front panel will more easy to turn on/off ma, behind feel inconvenience, but that is what i think only... anyone got opinion?

The proper way to use fluorescent paint is to use a white undercoat. Not silver. Hope u dont make the same mistake.

I think up is better. Because the fan will obstruct the view to your pc's internal if you put it at the side.

I suggest you cut a 120mm hole from the top to suck the air out.. maybe two holes. Then cut two more holes from the bottom where it will blow the air in. That's what i'm doing to my mod.. although still haven't updated it. I can show you once i've done it lar.. ok. Don't do on the side unless you don't mind that ppl can't really enjoy the view of the inside when a 120mm fan is blocking the way. Keep ot up mates... cool mod.

why not blow hole it both? can't fit ka? if that the case, better blow hole it on top, cause can exhaust heat accumulate there, ur heat will trap there but not totally trap, eventually it will get out slowly blush.gif

i wouldn't recommend u to blow hole on the side panel cause u already got 2 fan exhaust the heat from the rear which is the rear fan + the psu fan, i think it will be enough for the 2 fan to exhaust the heat... biggrin.gif

That's just my opinion, in the end it's up to u to decide it... notworthy.gif just don't blame me if the temp didn't drop, i giving my opinion based on my experience from my "Black Parade" case drool.gif mod by Ianho notworthy.gif rclxms.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif cause it''s hard to compare two different cases with the same amount of intake/exhaust fan as it depends on what ur hardware u using (how much heat produce by ur system), the cable management (which can obstruct the air flow) & lots more cool2.gif

err..I think using UV sticker for the fan blades is not such a good idea. After some time, the stickers will peel. This will cause the fan to spin slower causing airflow problem.

yup, i know before already... actually before i think wan to spray the fan with uv paint but it will become pemanent colour after it... so i decided use stiker cos i can change the colour o without colour as i like... but sure will effect the speed of fan... i still testing now, if really worst (temperature increase many) i will clear the stiker on the fan....

nice job bro..kongratz.. thumbup.gif

but i must comment on 1 thing - icon_idea.gif

- why did u place those uv tube like that? maybe u can consider place it at the quite-hidden place so that people can view ur uv mod clearly..

maybe u can place one of the tube at the bottom, near the side panel so that other people wont see it when the side panel is closed..
