The processor is using Sychte Infinity, GPU is using Noctua NH-U 9, and but i don't know what kind of chipset heatsink is that...
It can't be Noctua NC-U 6, as Noctua Chipset heatsink only uses 2 heatpipes, but in that picture, it uses 3 heatpipes... What chipset heatsink is that!!!! HR-05 uses 1 heatpipe NH-U 6 uses 2 heatpipes What chipset heatsink is that??? 3 heatpipes? OMG, i'm gonna faint... |

bro the chipset is actually a cpu cooler from some where..not a chipset cooler...hmm... maybe go buy a ultra 90 and mod to use as chipset ... @E-J@1 well as long as the mounting works then any hsfs can fit one... |

If you see the picture clearly enough, the heatsink isn't screw directly to it, as most know it wont fit perfectly. They are using cable ties.
![]() But for the 1st and 2nd pic, it does fit nicely, notice the long screw? This post has been edited by Hyde`fK: Dec 9 2006, 11:46 AM |

the zipties can use for on off oc only coz the pressure after a while decreases coz of the platic being abit elastic one... bt i works , depending how u mount it... |

long term it's not a good idea as the weight will affect the cards insertion pressure. Same thing happened last time when DIY'ers rigged up old Athlon XP heatsinks and Tt's golden Orb's to their GC. Deterioration of performance. That's why you don't see aftermarket cooler manufacturer's make huge heavy arse HSF for GC's do you?

u can see a small tube under the noctua... that the thing supporting it... anyway yeah most gc hsfs products are designed with weight as a major factor because uneesossary stress on the gc pcb is very bad... and also because of gravity , in most cases, if the hsf is too heavy it will pull away from the gc...

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ Jan 7 2007, 12:24 PM) contact of the vga??? When u're using heavy heatsinks on the VGA cards, it'll make the VGA card bent down, and when bent down happens, it will force the PCi-E slot to be bent down also, and when this happens, you can see that the PCI-E is kinda sliding down from the metal pin inside, and when it happens, the deterioration of performance takes place... i also wanna know what makes the deterioration of performance? |

Not that simple since the electrical signals on the board are extremely finely timed, any bending or flexing of the board, inclusive of pressure, which can affect performance, that's why engineers place limits to weight to reduce trace and layer flexing. |
