Calling 6S users who've upgraded from the 6 wink.gif

It is really worth upgrading? Sorry if this has been asked for the umpteenth time.
Been using my i6 for a year now and am still on the fence if I should go for the 6S.

I noticed the significant bumped in performance eg the 2G RAM
Day to day usage, did you notice significant speed bump? Gamings and browsing etc.

And also the 3d touch, it is really a gimmick or it is really useful?

Pls advise blush.gif

The additional ram helps a lot especially in browsing with many tabs opened . There is no reloading issue unlike ip6
I don't do gaming but I am sure the 2gb memory is an added advantage
3d touch I rarely used as I find is half baked effort from Apple. I rarely hit it correctly 100% !!
Get a feel of it in the store to assess better
I will not recommend an upgrade unless you had the budget for it

Too true bro. Still considering if the specs / performance bump justify the 1k upgrade for me.

I thought they'll be less encouragement from ppl to upgrade from 6 to 6s as compared to upgrading from older models, looks like the feedbacks are saying otherwise

I have tried 3d touch before (currently jailbroken my i6 and using the software-based 3d touch wink.gif and yeah, I like it a lot. Sure would like to go for the genuine thang.

@telekom, you mentioned about the improved camera, it's only the bump from 8 to 12 MP right and the selfie cam. Any other upgrades?

Thanks for all the feedback all. Much appreciated.
Have decided to go for it - used or new. Life is short, just do what you like to do. Haha

Ok what are the colors you all are using? Been having black front IPhones for the last 2-3 gens, wanna go for white now.
Is the rose gold really percepted as girly? See from GS, most of the used sets are rose gold. Maybe the traders anticipated that there's more demand as its a new color

Would probably go for gold!

Just upgraded from my 6 to 6s.

Can't help but feel abit underwhelming.
Yes, the apps switches abit faster and the apps/games load abit faster but not really significant. The in-app and in-game experience are pretty much the same.
For the safari pages loading, compared with both phones side by side, again almost same experience, nothing to shout about.
For the 3d touch, those who have jailbroken our last gen iphone, can installed the software based version so in comparing that to the genuine tactile 3d touch, it's nothing really new. Feels really similar actually.

If we google around looking for 3d touch apps, there's only so few supported apps, yeah understood it is just 3-4 months since apple introduced 3d touch to the world so might takes time for the developer to adapt to it.

Overall, just feels the 6S is more of a future proof phone for now. Waiting for better things (read apps) to be fully optimised wink.gif

Just my 2 cents wink.gif

Maybe you're not as demanding. I found the 6s significantly faster than the 6 - fast enough to warrant an upgrade. Also the increase in RAM has made me more willing to use a 3rd party keyboard and Siri. Previously using those 2 things would sap the RAM just enough to make it annoying.

I guess it is subjective as to how one use their phone - 'demanding' or otherwise.
I'm quite a heavy user and has been using all iphones from the 1st gen till now except for the 5S and am quite aware of the performance improvement during the iterations.

For the RAM, well, like I said, I always JB my iphones and there's this KillBackground feature which I use occasionally to clear all the background apps which in-turn clear the memory. Thus, probably I don't feel the pinch when it comes to memory shortages every now and then on the 6.

Hello guys. Currently Im using 6S+. I just bought 64gb and the same model/spec for my wife yesterday. First, I registered using my Gmail account as Apple ID. After completed registration process, I've tried to download apps (whatsapp, etc.), nothing happened. This was on cellular data plan and I dont think that my internet was the problem. My wife on the other hand, able to download any apps. So I decided to change my email to example@icloud.com by resetting my phone later and it worked. I can download any apps. The bad part is, PRE-INSTALLED apps are missing. How do I know? My wife got all this pre-installed apps. Been searching through the net, nothing can solved my problem. Please help.
Super noob here. Thanks.

Alternatively try to download the apps from iTunes and sync to your phone.

Hello all, anyone use 6S without any screen protector? How's the screen fares against daily wear n tear without protection?

My previous iphone 6 got some hairline scratch on my first few weeks of use. And I'm a very careful person when it comes to gadgets. I think 6s and 6 are having similar qualities for the screen

Best to still use a TG
