why didnt apple allow us to wake the phone by double or tripple tapping the home button... or at least provide an option to choose..
other androids are able to do so by tapping the screen..
*
Double tap home button is already used for Apple Pay. You need a compatible Visa, AmEx or MasterCard added to iOS Wallet app.

Guys, is there a faster way to initiate iTunes wifi Sync instead of going to Settings>General>iTunes Wifi Sync?

Since getting an AC access point, I've been using it a lot as it's a fair bit faster than N.
*
AFAIK iTunes WiFi sync happens automatically when iPhone is locked and plugged in, just like iCloud backups.

The one in Settings is just to trigger the sync process manually.

im using Unifi, no problem when back up to icloud, the issue with storage size is bothering me... now im confuse if i should cancel my monthly subscription and just use the free 5GB since it can't backup my photo library.

so you are saying it can upload 10.9GB photo library to my icloud?

Because the weird things is... when I off icloud backup, then go to manage storage i saw my Photo library size is 10.9GB, next backup size is 9.1GB..

But when i turn ON icloud backup, then go to manage storage, it only show 5GB of photo library.

check under settings > photos if iCloud photo library is turned on. if so, your pics are backed up separately from your device. i'm on the 50gb plan and used 20 gb of space; 13.8 gb used for iCloud photo library, 2.6 GB for iPhone backup, 1.1 gb for iCloud email, and some other amount for app documents and data (whatsapp backups fall under here).

Hi all,
Im getting 6s+ soon from Umobile, hopefully on Wed but I still cant decided 64GB or 128GB.
Can I have some feedback from 64GB users? Interms of how heavy usage u guys use for?
Im more to downloading games, keeping photos and songs..

450 diff of getting another half of the capacity. Worth?

Thanks! smile.gif
*
Depends on how big your music and photo libraries are. My entire music and photo library is 41GB and 15GB, a 64 GB wouldn't fit. Even if I removed the photos it wouldn't be enough to fit my apps.

The iphone now stuck at itunes logo.. Asking me to plugin.. When restore it goes half way.. Then error 53...
*
Error 53 indicates an issue with the network connection or your computer, or possibly faulty installation of Touch ID sensor.

If the second is the issue, no other way but to take it to a service centre.

Apple is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. I think it'll come with iOS 9.3.

WHICH THE BEST SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR 6S
*
1. Cupert Cinder – full coverage including sides, 9H, 0.2mm thickness.

2. iMOS 3D Solid-EX – also full coverage, also 9H, but 0.4mm thickness.

Cupert is only available if you buy it yourself, iMOS have 3 resellers here (Connect2U, ingfusion, sakurazz – IINM).

Both kinds are around same price, ~RM 225.

I think anyone who's looking to get an iPhone should wait until the Apple Event on Tuesday 1am.

iPhone SE (new 4" iPhone with 6s specs) is strongly rumoured to be announced.

QUOTE(tolaktakjatuh @ May 11 2016, 06:58 PM)
Need some help with my iP6s,

When I request a TAC code, i will receive a full screen message showing the TAC code from my bank.

When I continue to request a 2nd TAC code, my phone failed to receive the 2nd TAC. I need to restart the phone and request again for the 2nd TAC, and i'll receive in the form of SMS.

This pattern cycles each time, so when I do multiple transactions requesting multiple TAC, I need to restart my phone again and redo the request sequence.

So, I noticed that if i received the full page sms of the TAC code my phone will failed to get the next TAC code if i didn't restart it.

So,

1st TAC (full screen msg) > restart > 2nd TAC (sms) > 3rd TAC (full screen msg) > restart > 4th TAC (sms)

I hope u guys can understand what i'm trying to say here sweat.gif

Anyone else facing the issue? I didn't have this problem when I was using Galaxy S7 Edge.
*
looks like the iPhone considered the TAC to be a class-0 sms (aka flash sms). it looks like this, right?

user posted image

i think it's your bank's fault (what's your bank?). flash sms is determined by sender, not receiver. so it's not iPhone's or iOS' fault.

however, apple support will probably ask you to try the following steps:
1. navigate settings > general > reset > reset network settings. enter your passcode and iPhone will restart. after that try again.
2. if still not working try your SIM in another person's iPhone, or another person's SIM in your iPhone.
3. if still cannot, try setting your iPhone thru itunes and set up as new (dont restore from backup). then request a tac again.

note down what happens, then call Apple at 1800-80-3638 and talk to them about it. make sure you explain the problem and what you tried so the process goes much more smoothly.

For those of y'all on Umobile, you have a carrier update waiting for you guys in Settings > General > About. Version 24.1 enables Wi-Fi calling for iPhones (5c/5s or newer models) running iOS 9.3 or above.

Now supported iPhones can make and receive normal phone calls when connected to any Wi-Fi network, even when there's no cellular coverage.

This also means calls to any Malaysian number are charged local rates, even from overseas. If you have unlimited calls on your plan, that also applies to Wi-Fi calling. Calls to international numbers are charged IDD rates.

U Mobile is now among the first 7 carriers in the whole of Asia to implement Wi-Fi calling. Only we, dtac in Thailand, and 3/SmarTone/China Mobile in Hong Kong have Wi-Fi calling.

However, 3 and SmarTone have more advanced version where connected iCloud devices and also make Wi-Fi calls. Singapore doesn't have any form of Wi-Fi calling, for now. (But they are the only ones to have Apple Pay)

More info:

don't think so the warranty covers the accessories.

there's one way to find out if it's faultly. go into the balance settings and move the toggle all the way to the left and then to the right. that will be a clearer way to determine if the earpods are in fact problematic.
*
warranty covers all original apple accessories used with your new iPhone. charger/cable/earpods/dock/etc.

i dont know, cause when i landed in the states and tried to buy a sim card from them, it was all good until thye pop in the sim card and cant verify it, so they told me my set is locked and needs to be unlocked, but once i`ve reached the city, i manage to get a sim number and its all good, i dont know what they did but it was a quick setup less than 10 minutes tops.
*
which carrier? non-US iPhones are only intended to work with T-Mobile or AT&T in the US

also, when you buy an iPhone in Malaysia, it will only be unlocked if you do the setup with a local carrier first. after that only you can put in any SIM (Not sure about this but i think its true)
