Hey guys, wanna ask, i bought my iphone 6s plus from machines, recently my dropped my iphone on the road and my lcd glass chipped a little (thank god)
Does this mean i cant claim warranty for other parts anymore? Or is the warranty still intact? Is there any loophole to claim warranty for the glass? As i recall, apple dont fix the phone but rather give a refurbished set Thanks |

QUOTE(Mr.7 @ May 17 2016, 03:34 PM) Other parts still eligible. Dont think there's other way to claim for the glass warranty unless it's hairline crack. You can get cheaper replacement with Apple Care warranty or by third party replacements. QUOTE(shaniandras2787 @ May 17 2016, 03:42 PM) You should really get a tempered glass screen protector =P The only way you can void your iPhone's warranty prematurely is by doing either one of this:- 1) open the enclosure and tempered with the internals; or 2) you accidentally submerged/dropped your iPhone into water. Either one (1) of the aforesaid causes will void your warranty disabling you from claiming under "manufacturer's defects". There is no way in hell, Apple is going to entertain you for a warranty claim for a crack display because it's normal wear and tear not due to the manufacturer. You are deemed to have purchased a perfect condition iPhone. Let me share with you my friend's experience. He went and bought a brand new 5S from Machines and once the unwrapping is done at the centre, he noticed that there was a small bump on the side of the display, creating a small gap between the display and the body. He immediately submit for a claim and guess what, he got a refurbished unit. That pisses him off quite a bit. So, what he did was paying RM2,199.00 for refurbished unit QUOTE(Izanis @ May 17 2016, 04:02 PM) hi, i just collected my iphone from mac city one utama. During waiting, heard a conversation from another customer. Her screen slightly crack. They don't change @ repair part by parts, they will exchange for you with additional price of almost 2k (if i'm not mistaken about rm1900) I know i cant claim warranty for the screen..its human fault..and im not a fool to pay almost 2k (rm1850 tobe exact) to get a new iphone just coz of a hairline crack the lady only having small crack on her screen (she's using ip6s+) Im just worried of the warranty for the others parts and after reading ur replies, it seems gat my warranty is still active which is good.. Thanks guys 👍 |
