Most of the switches and sockets i got from Taobao are slowly failing after 3 years of usage. Am changing them to Schneider Vivace line of switches and sockets as they spoil one by one.

Talked to my contractor and another friend whom is an electrician.
They also buy their supplies from Taobao. Also admit most other electrician do so too.
Switches aren't a big problem just make sure you make enough research and also to buy 13amp sockets(British 3 pin) instead of the standard 10 amp used in China.
20 amp ones for water heaters and air conds.
The has been no shortages but mostly the springs on the on/off switch wears off pretty easily.

Something like this...but definitely not Siemens branded....more like generic OEM brand.

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=2013.1...1e-66444c643a43

13amp sockets are hard to find...but mine has the wording STL printed on it...lol
So far one 20amp and one 13amp socket has failed...the switches are still good.
The sockets 13Amp ones ...on/off switch sometimes gets stuck(plastic moulding not cut properly i guess)...but generally can be used.
