It means same item, taobao sell rm42, but local official philips online store sell cheaper, rm 358.8 / 12 = rm 29.9 each. www.blipmy.com

Not everything cheaper in taobao, especially international brand stuff.

But china brand or no brand track lights, really cheaper at taobao

Might consider branded lights for my hall but running on a small budget.
so thinking of buying cheaper lights or a non branded for bedroom. any recommendation?

i'm thinking of buying LED lights from China. Checked out taobao and Tmall, but all in chinese. using google translate has it's limitation. not all is translated. anyone can suggest how a non chinese reader buy stuff online from china?

Either you get an agent to buy it for you or get it from local shop

If you stay in Klang Valley, you may come to Puchong, there is one shop next to Tesco, they are selling LED light at pretty competitive price, I saw some of the round type LED down light selling at RM16

prefer round, does it make a different in cost?

if round easier installation, if square type will be more difficult a bit..

as what mention by them. if u buy international brand like philips or osram, price might be cheaper here..

cause buy in taobao, current + admin + shipping..

but if u buy china brand, it will be a lot cheaper.....

i buy downlight n T5 led from there..

my downlight having heatsinks, and normal rm 18 from shop dont have heatsinks.

mine been using for 2 years... my fren buy from shop, burn 1 by 1.... some shop did provide warranty.. but with double cost

reading from the post from this topic, it does make sense buying from china.
Cos i believe the goods that i see in shops, mostly are already from china.
on the downlights, i've shortlisted ur link. Thanks for the link
Heard the same thing about burning out lights 1 by 1 when bought from shop. sounds like a good marketing plan from the shops icon_idea.gif

Bought a lot of downlights from here: http://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?id=43314494913

Prices are not that cheap but much better quality than those 12 ringgit crap.

Not only that. Square LED downlights are thin because they arrange the LEDs around the side of the casing. Therefore they produce less lumen per watt and lower CRI. Those round thick downlights have LEDs mounted directly above the casing thus produce better CRI and lumen per watt. Look at those expensive OSRAM and Philips downlights. They're all round and thick.

To me, square LED downlights are all crap.

China shared same voltage as Malaysia so no problem for electrical items, don't buy their electrical switches or power outlet as their plug pins are different. Go open an account with 65daigou. https://www.65daigou.com.my/

There's plenty of blog that teaches you how entire system works, start with small affordable items, looked out for high numbers of user reviews(Above hundred), buy from supplier with actual product photos posted by user under review.
http://gwensies.blogspot.my/2012/10/ultima...-on-taobao.html

Do plenty of research, the more the better.

Hi..I just want to clear something. When I click on www.65daigou.com.my theres a pop up saying now change to my.ezbuy.com. We can buy things directly from that website. Is it the same price if buy from this website without going to taobao first? Much easier because its in English.

I usually cancel that page and login into 65Daigou Malaysia. Never compare the prices before.

Think they re-branding to ezbuy, so both site should work.

In Summary yes.

The buying and delivery is two process, 1st is pay them they will buy, after arrive to the local warehouse (the country where you buy) you make another payment for delivery to your door step.

Ur username at 65daigou will work for ezbuy as well. It is the same. Rebranding only since they now also doing ship-for-me for USA as well. Maybe "daigou" this word is not so "international-friendly". haha
