QUOTE(JohnC4796 @ Dec 18 2015, 10:29 AM) I am going for my 1st service soon as I clocked 910km to date. Do we have to make appoint weeks ahead for the 1st service? Any advantage of going to COE instead of a Proton Edar Service Centre like the one in Chan Sow Lin? 5. So far I only managed to get 9.2L/100kM in my 1.6MT, is that consider reasonable given I drive at more or less constant speed about 90-110km/hr on the north south highway. Thank you in advance for your advice!! need to wait after 1st service. it should improve. check you tyre pressure as well. should not be below than the recommended pressure. See label at the driver side door

QUOTE(slackinux @ Dec 22 2015, 06:38 PM) Will 1.6 MT get better uphill performance ? Does uphill performance depend on engine capacity or type of transmission (MT, CVT) ? engine capacity does make a different. generally more CC more power and torque (car weight is equal and NA as reference) transmission wise MT has higher mechanical efficiency, it has less slippage than auto/CVT

QUOTE(danielcmugen @ Dec 30 2015, 12:07 PM) Any1 else face this prob where boot can open by itself when driving / right after unlocking the car? Not open completely, just open enough to trigger door symbol on dashboard. my Iriz had about this type of problem, but on the right-rear door after few days of ownership. the door ajar and triggered the door ajar signal during a not so high speed cornering. went back to SC and they changed the locking mechanism. my previous saga FLX had this boot problem. i just slam shut the boonet to prevent it from opening. never went to sc to check.

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Feb 4 2016, 05:17 PM) So i'm not the only one who gets better FC when driving faster then.. and I notice in jams and when the car is idling, the FC really high.. Iriz such a garang car ah need to drive it "spiritedly" Agree. Other keypoint is cruising. Stop and go will eat up more fuel. Last week i travelled KL-Rembau-KL (95% Hiway) with 3 adults, crusing at 100-120km/h. upshift by 3K rpm. FC 16km/l some time ago i travelled to east coast using the trunk road (consider 95% cruising/hiway)80-100km/h 2 adults. upshift 3K rpm. FC 16.8km/L. to me the more u r cruisng the better the FC. Sweet spot in my observation is between 2.5 to 3.0K rpm (top gear) for good FC. 1.6MT
