Trying not to be whiner but...

My car just reached 16k, 6 months, 4 doors are making noise now. I don't have to drive on bumpy roads and I can already hear it. Guest that my engine vibrates even more intense now. You will be shocked after you experienced it when my car drive over bumps, music of rats.

The overall feel of sitting inside the cabin of the car is exactly the same feeling of sitting in an old Proton car. I can imagine what will happen after another 6 months.

Forgive my laziness, did anyone fixed all the nyek nyek tak tak sound for this good car? I heard some people said that the clips are loose.

Just got back my 1.6 Premium from the service centre in PJ. Dashboard vibrations are still there, nothing fixed. Driver's door still vibrates when go over humps. Driver's door still got noise when the speaker kicks in.

This is the 4th time that I'm trying to fix all these rattling issue.

I guess there is no solution for this. If it does, the solution to this would have been pinned.

Im so disappointed and starting to lost hope on my car already.

Worse come to worst, any Proton service in selangor or KL area really knows how to fix this? Or any 3rd party can fix dashboard issue?

The manager and supervisor seems ok. But the mechanics there is no different than the other. I told 1 of the mechanics that my front passenger door is not align properly with the door behind and it also sounds weird when the door is closed(Saga BLM door closing sound), I also told him that engine vibration is quite serious. Then, he replied me, semua kereta pun macam tu. Move along to the dashboard rattling issue, and some foam came out, he juz use a screw driver to poke the foam in and said it's done.

Water leaks through the door frame and dripped in driver's cabin. His solution is just screw everything tighter at the door hinges and spray water at the top part of the door and found no watermarks and said it's fixed, and now it's still leaks water in. Driver's door rattling noise is even worse than previous time!

I did go through all the defects, 1 by 1 with the manager there, and I decided to leave my car there, also recommended by the manager herself, but it seems that all those defects are still here and nothing is fixed! NOTHING! She did said that they won't be removing the whole dashboard bcoz it's too risky or whatever whatnot, but the thing is, all the sounds is from the inside! What if a few screws are not tighten properly? Steel to steel part is not welded correctly? Or the plastic didn't fit properly? Sometimes I wonder, will those 6 airbags will work properly? Or some loose screw inside will fly out after the airbags deployed? Trust me, if you told this to some irresponsible Proton Mechanics, they will just tell you that Japanese cars and continental cars also got problem larhh.

About the annoying rattling sound coming from the dashboard, I did try to add some foam all around the dashboard area, including the very poor interior plastic build at A pillar, it's still making a lot of noise. Surely it is not based by the end of the dashboard is knocking on the windscreen that makes a lot of noise.

Sad to say that, it's really disappointing.

Some car polish wax and the polish machine itself will the the trick. Or send to the shop to do it for you, minor charges

Well, my reverse sensor also got problem. Looong time ago, sent there and ask them to rectify the issue. Bad luck enuff, the sensor is working just fine and I lost the photo as proof due memory card corrupted. I told them that I really got faced this problem, and the manager said, I know there is some issue with the reverse sensor, but only for a certain batch, your batch is not using the faulty 1.

So, what to do?

This is the my defect list, AGAIN for my Proton Iriz Premium 1.6

01. A pillars, both sides are making noise.
- I'm super sure it's from the inside because when the car moves and stop (slow moving in traffic), when I lightly touch on the A pillar (plastic cover thing), i can feel that there is something knocking inside, when you hold it firmly, the sound will gone.

02. Knocking sound and nyek nyek sound in dashboard area, in front of passenger seat
- some knocking sound can be heard, but once you put some pressure on it, the sound is gone. But there are still have nyek nyek sound.

03. Heavy knocking sound between the windscreen and dashboard area, in front of passenger seat, behind touch screen area, and behind HUD
- Knocking sound can be heard when you are going through the yellow lines on the road that ask you to slow down your car, or any humps and uneven road surface

04. Rat noise behind touch screen unit
- Mostly appears during hard turns, especially U-turn. some other times, it will also appear, but seldom.

05. Glove box is not align properly after closed
- Popular issue, still not fixed since 1st service

06. Front passenger door closing sounds cheap, definitely it sounds different than the others

07. Driver's door is making noise
- Making noise when accelerator pedal is pushed. Not just only that, listen to music will also makes the door sing (any car vibration will make them sing basically)

08. Water leaks in from the top of the driver's door

09. Engine vibrates a lot

10. Rear passenger door (behind driver's seat) got knocking sound
- New Issue, HURRAY!

11. Spoiler is loose/shake, whatever you wanna call it
- Drive over uneven road surface, close the boot door, spoiler will make noise

12. Faulty reverse sensor
- When on reverse, it suddenly beep for nothing, seems that it only happens to the sensor on the right (looking from the screen). Sometimes the reverse camera just dont work even the butt is just 5CM away from the butt from the another car.

All these issues are not listed at the 1st post, I wonder how many people manage to fix all of these.

Long time ago, i heard someone fixed the noise after they sent in to do soundproofing for their Iriz?

Any ideas, and solutions, please share.................
