Hi, would like to know whether it is advisable to stay in The Stay Sapporo Hostel where the nearest subway(Shiseikanshogakko-Mae) is 8mins walk away and we intend to lug our luggage there. Will there be any problem lugging luggage in snow(sorry, first time going for a snow winter trip)?

For winter activities, e.g snowboarding/skiing/tubing/luging, will it be better to take the package for Niseko/Tomamu/Sahoro or to go one of their parks like Takino Suzuran Park? Is the experience around the same?

What months you going? End of Jan or Feb or March?
If End of Jan to Early March are thickest snow. No way you can lug it on snow.

First time skiing? I recomemded you Sapporo Kokusai 札幌国際スキー場スキーセンター

I will be going end of February..
So, it will be better to take bus from CTS Airport?

Thanks for the recommendation.

Hi,
I am deciding between staying in Untapped Hostel 1 to 2 mins from Kitajuhachijo Station and Apartment 5 mins from Minamihiragashi Station(cheaper by half the price compared to Untapped Hostel).

Would like to know whether lugging luggage for extra few mins would make a difference in Feb snow as we will be wearing normal sports shoes?

Thanks.

Sport shoes won't works on Snow. If you wear sport shoes get ready for potong kaki. Sure get Frost Bite.
Sapporo snow must wear Boots higher than your leg ankle to prevent snow goes into your toe.

So, if i get snow boots, both places would be the same in case of lugging luggage? Looks like a hassle if i were to stay 5 mins away...

Yes. If snow was deep. 5 Minute of walk with luggage was very inconvenient. Make sure your Luggage was waterproof

Do u reckon getting those boots like the ones worn by Phua Chu Kang is okay to replace winter boots?
Haha. Just trying to save some cost as going for a budget trip.
