For those wish to walk in rather than buying online. Just to update my planned trip:

the timed entry u guys mentioned and the fast pass is the same thing?
*
Timed entry is just to let you enter that HP area...still need to queue like others. Express pass 5 & 7 (need to pay) allows you to enter the area and use a faster lane.

Hi RC,im confused on the Shinkansen Train.

Is there any other Shinkansen other than NOZOMI & MIZUHO type running from Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka Station?(On the Tokaido-Sanyo Route)

This is because im not sure that im able to travel to Osaka by Shinkansen using the JR Pass due to the restrictions on that two type. But i found out from JR websites, they do have other few types running but i just need to be sure on it.

Thanks.
*
You have Nozomi (fastest), Hikari and Kodama (slowest).

Asking on behalf of a friend. Is there such thing that we can order JR Pass online, print the order form and exchange it for the actual JR Pass at JR office?

Any Photocopy of Exchange order are not accept. Because Exchange Order have a Official Cop on it.
*
Oh okay.meaning even if order online, the exchange order still will be posted to you.

Can we buy USJ ticket and express pass ticket before my trip there? Or can only buy either online or counter?

I refer to this site on steps to buy online but just afraid of making the wrong step or buying the wrong ticket.

I also want to avoid the queue time if buy at counter.

I'm aiming for 1 day pass and express 5 ride ticket.

http://www.dondelaofertamelleve.com/p/how-...ets-online.html

Hope the sifu here can advise
*
you can buy the admission ticket from selected JR office (like at Kansai Airport). No idea about the express 5 tickets.

Thinking about making a half day trip to Nishinomiya which is in between Osaka and Kobe instead of Arashiyama. Looks like a good spot for cherry blossom too. Anyone ever been here?

you can consider JR Special Rapid Service from Osaka to Kyoto which only take you 29 minutes.

Japan transport can be found here
http://www.hyperdia.com/
*
KTP cannot be used on JR trains
