Can we buy USJ ticket and express pass ticket before my trip there? Or can only buy either online or counter?

I refer to this site on steps to buy online but just afraid of making the wrong step or buying the wrong ticket.

I also want to avoid the queue time if buy at counter.

I'm aiming for 1 day pass and express 5 ride ticket.

http://www.dondelaofertamelleve.com/p/how-...ets-online.html

Hope the sifu here can advise

Exploring Kyoto (Activated KTP)
Kyoto > Osaka by Nankai Main Line (KTP)
Exploring Osaka by Sybway (KTP)
Osaka > Kobe > Osaka by Nankai Kobe Line (KTP)
Bro RC

I assume below is the day you propose

1st day:
Exploring Kyoto (Activated KTP)
Kyoto > Osaka by Nankai Main Line (KTP)

2nd day:
Exploring Osaka by Sybway (KTP)

3rd day:
Osaka > Kobe > Osaka by Nankai Kobe Line (KTP)

For first and 3rd day should be worth but for 2nd day exploring Osaka through subway will it be worth?

This is my plan for my KTP since I plan to get it and of course want to utilize those long journey to make it more worth it:

1st day:
Activate KTP : Osaka - Kobe - Arima Onsen - Kobe - Osaka / Osaka - Himeji - Kobe - Osaka (depend my group prefer see castle or onsen experience)

2nd day:
Osaka - Yamazaki - Kyoto - Exploring Kyoto

3rd day:
Kyoto - Fushimi Inari - Nara - Kyoto / Kyoto - Arashiyama - Kyoto (Nara should be of better value right?)

If exploring osaka by Subway is also worth it maybe I'll choose that day to activate the pass also. Thanks sifu RC in advance.

Just realise the first full day of my trip will be clashed with their national holiday Spring equinox. Looks like they have the same policy if holiday on Sunday will rolloever to the following Monday, which mean 20th and 21st March.

Previously plan for Universal Studio on Monday which is 21st so now would need to postpone to Tuesday 22nd.

But that comes my another big problem to fill in 20th and 21st March. Originally plan to tour Osaka on 20th (free and easy type as we will be overnight in airport afraid still tired since not sure how well can we sleep in airport).

Will it be packed if I go Kobe on the 21st? Or better i walk around in Osaka still?

Osaka Itinerary (1 day plan)
QUOTE
From Namba
Activate Osaka Amazing 1 day pass
Tsutenkaku Tower (optional)
Osaka Castle & Nishinomaru Garden
Osaka Museum of History (Optional)
Umeda Sky Garden (sunset viewing)
Dinner at Umeda
Hep Five Ferris Wheel / Tombori River Cruise
Dotonbori
The above 1 day itinerary for Osaka ok? Any recommended lunch place around Tsutenkaku or Osaka Castle?

Anyone that been to Yamazaki distillery know is there any place to put baggage there while going for the tour? Or can I put a Oyamazaki station - is there any locker there?

As I'll be on Hankyu Kyoto line from osaka to kyoto, plan to stop at Yamazaki (since otw) for the tour but I'll also be carrying my luggage around just thinking is it feasible and convenient or not or should i arrange a different day for it?

Thanks.

Is there any good restaurant recommended for Omakase kaiseki meal in Kyoto and Osaka similar to those restaurant in Tsukiji, Tokyo?

Anywhere around Nishiki market since it's considered like a fresh market? Friend recommended Giro Giro Hitoshina but I see it's more like those modern type, prefer the old traditional sushi type like the famous one in Tsukiji

Any advice is much appreciated, especially from bro Regent, Thanks. notworthy.gif

ADDED : Prefer reasonable price one too like in Tsukiji level, not those michelin star price level

First I want you to do homework first. Try find as much as you can.  Wrong Never mind I wont screw people for wrong, I screw people for not doing homework only. No one here have more knowledge about travelling Japan than me so I won't expect you guys know detail part as me.  Detail part are my Job.

I give a example.
Alot forumer here do homework like this way. Osaka > Kyoto > Hakone > Tokyo
Kyoto to Hakone part , Alot people will travel to Tokyo (Shinjuku) first then going Hakone from Shnjuku. This is based on most people knowledge about Japan.  Which is SO Wrong. But I won't screw people. I know your guys capability. Now my part kick in, I do the correction part like a teacher. I will suggestion Stop at Odawara  Station instead going Tokyo. Alo people don't know Odawara Station, that my job give detail part. You will save alot money & time.

What Train , What Line. What to see , What to eat .....all detail part are my Expert.
I can guarantee you one thing for sure. If you do the homework by your self, Dig more information by self, You will memorize it because is your self hard working dig it out. When you reach Japan, U will automatic recall it from your memory. It helps alot.

thumbup.gif finalizing my trip itinerary to be vet by sifu RC!

1st day: Reach Kansai Airport night, overnight at airport
2nd day: Kuromon Ichiba Market, Shisaibashi & Dotonbori area. Night Amemura (Icoca + Haruka pass round trip)
3rd day : Osaka Castle, Osaka Sujyo Bus, Umeda Sky Building, Tombori River Cruise, Hep Five Ferris Wheel (Osaka Amazing Pass 1 day)
4th day : USJ
5th day : Himeji castle (not confirm), Kobe Sannomiya (Moriya), (Kansai 3 day Thru Pass)
6th day : Yamazaki distillery (booked), Gion, Kiyomizudera Temple (Kansai 3 day Thru Pass)
7th day : Fushimi Inari, Nara (Kansai 3 day Thru Pass)
8th day: Arashiyama, Kinkaku-ji
9th day : Nishiki Market, Ginkaku-ji, Philosopher's Park
10th day : Rinku Premium Outlet, night flight back

2nd till 5th will be based in Osaka, while 6th to 10th will be in Kyoto.

Question:
1. 3rd day will it be too packed? Plan to view sunset at Umeda Sky Building, and Hep 5 opens till 11pm. Main purpose is to make full use of the free attaction that comes with the pass.
2. Understand with Kansai Thru Pass to Himeji will be a bit more troublesome with the transfer. Saw sifu RC recommendation is to go Shin-Kobe then cable car to Kobe Hill. Will it be too rush if I go Himeji morning, lunch at Sannomiya (kobe beef lunch), and proceed to Shin Kobe and cable car? Plan to go back Dotonbori Osaka for dinner
3. Any recommended dinner place around Shijo and Gion? I'm staying around Shijo
4. Plan to go for sakura viewing on the 9th which is 27th March (think a bit early for sakura full blossom). Will I able to see any sakura or is there other place that perhaps will bloom earlier or better viewing?
5. For 8th and 9th day, should I get the Kyoto City Bus Pass or I can only depend on my ICOCA card?

Thanks all sifus in advance notworthy.gif

Do report on sakura at Osaka Castle, Himeji Castle, and Kyoto area (day 8 and 9). If going by the latest forecast, Kyoto will start flowering on the 25th and the date has been getting earlier and earlier. So even though not full bloom, surely there will be a couple of trees.

You can use icoca on the bus, however, the bus pass is more worth it if you are using the bus for more than 2 trips.

1. Your budget is reasonable and should get decent hotel at decent location in Tokyo/Osaka. Maybe should try Airbnb
2. No idea since i am staying in Hakone Ryokan. For Kyoto, maybe try look at Gion Fukuzumi?
3. don't think you will need a JR pass but i'm might be wrong. Reason is I don't plan to travel outskirt (Himeji, Kobe, Nara, Enoshima etc) when i'm in Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo
4. From what i can see from ppl instagram, travelrecommends travel WiFi is au KDDI Wifi Walker. Pretty much what everybody else is selling. Maybe they are undercutting to gain fame for now. Already booked and let see how the service (travelling 14-23 Apr)

Ok tried freundlieb, waitress can't speak English. Their signature cookie is good though the rest just normal. The restaurant is special because it's a former church I guess you pay for the experience

Based on your description and 2 locations, just get ICOCA for Osaka and Pasmo/Suica for Tokyo then.

Hopefully Kyoto will be bloom more this Sunday when I'm there as plan to picnic there.

I think our timing is bad that we clash with the spring holiday break with Japan. Now at USJ packed like mad, thank god got express pass 4 or else cannot sit much ride.

Bro Human Nature suggest you to buy that as well if you plan go USJ next week as it seems until then. Or just skip it if you are alright.

The new ride flying dinosaur was ETA 500 minutes waiting time this morning around 11am and just now 4pm was about 280 minutes crazy which actually pass their operation time

Full bloom at Kyoto Imperial Palace Park on 30th March  wub.gif

How's the bloom? I see more of it at Nara rather than Kyoto, went Philosopher's part on 27th but only odd 2/3 trees bloom.

You book the Kyoto Imperial Palace tour online? or walk in?

6000 to 8000 yen Kobe Beef?
*
Tried that value for money, I also tried Moriya in Kobe Sannomiya under Regent Sifu recommendation, cost me 16,000 yen exclude tax., about 600++ my meal, most expensive lunch ever.

It was very good and the chef is really high standard, but pay more for the experience, in fact the 2,000 yen kobe at Kuromon is much worth it.
