My record is still same as you 30k yen/pax and that only once! My average meal for whole day is now about 2000 yen if I were to eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Question 1: Japan sunrise around 5.40am Japan time.
Most shop closed at 8pm and mall closed at 10pm Japan time. Most early trip of public transport such as metro and bus start at 5.30am Japan time.

Question 2: Nope.  Yes, you can add in Osaka if you want.
*
I think most mall close at 9pm and not 10PM

I dont think there are such website. If you want cheaper ticket you might get it in some shops in Tokyo that buy and sell tickets.

PS: Do you need to use CAPS??

For ANA, did you select economy lowest price? If yes you need to change it to economy flexible.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know whether there's any paid lounge in Haneda International Airport? I tried to google but couldn't really find helpful information.

How much is the lounge entrance. My flight back to Malaysia is at midnight so need a place to rest before the flight

Thanks

You can find the info here.

Go to Jackroad in nakano broadway. Nice place to get your watches that is cheaper in the market. And you get tax free!

They watches you find in Jackroad, dont think you can find it at premium outlet. They sell mostly luxury watches and used one too.

Did you google on the right area that you are visiting? 10 to 20 sounds abit warm during mid november.

if its 10 to 20... a jacket over a tshirt should be fine. jacket with pockets to put your hands in there, if it gets too chilly...

i personally never tried heattech but it didn't work when people i went to beijing with suffered tremendously by relying on uniqlo (but that was around 0 C)
*
Its about right if in Tokyo. For me normally I just have a tshirt and a jacket that is not too heavy.
This is simply because if you get indoor (including public transport) its damn hot! Example today in Tokyo its about 24C and they turn off the aircon in the bus!! Its like an oven inside....

Hi, anyone going to japan on 5 aug until 13 aug? Initially there was 4 of us that will be going, but 2 of them cancelled this week because their leave were still not approved.

Now I was thinking of joining other groups, as I still haven't done the itinerary yet.
*
Thats the Obon period in Japan, and most tourist place will be full of people

Hi RegentCid,

biggrin.gif no climbing experience but will try it out anyway  laugh.gif .

Yup, only highway express bus to Gotemba. Tried to find a good onsen place nearby Gotemba to stay once we came down from Fuji but can't find any.

Only found all those nice onsen located at Kawaguchiko area.
*
I have climb Mt Fuji a few during my younger days and actually its not that difficult. Now of course will definitely be a big ask! Of the many times I did there was one time I fail to reach the top due to typhoon. I reached the 8 station in the middle of the night and suddenly it started to rain heavily with strong wind. Stuck outside of the small hut a few hours with lots of people for a few hours. Once the storm die down I quickly cabut. Hence before you climb you really have to check the weather.....though it might not be accurate as you are "high up there". Besides that you will also encounter "traffic jam". Lots of people especially senior citizen will be making their way up.

Hmm, other than Vanilla Air and HK Express, any other flights that connect to HK from Tokyo? Too used to AA that requires additional top up on baggage, but I couldn't find details in the itinerary in both Vanilla Air and HK Express. Any idea how it works? Anyone travel from Tokyo to HK before? Thanks!
*
Travel to HK from Tokyo very often. If you look sometimes Cathay and ANA prices are about the same as Vanilla Air especially if you plan your trip early.

1. i just know it's japanese house architecture thingy, then got tatami, sleep on floor? XD i didn't know what to expect so i am complementing.
i am just thinking if stay ryokan it would be better if it's natural places rather than in town area? i might be wrong on my understanding about ryokan.

2. i explore a bit if around osaka town area 1night rm1K ada, if further a bit like nara maybe rm600 pun ada?
*
Sleeping on the tatami is just one part of the experience. Most ryokan are small and you can enjoy the onsen more as there are less people. Some you can even booked it all to yourself and family or if willing to pay you have an onsen in your room. Besides that you will also be able to enjoy the food they serve. If you just plan to stay in ryokan without the dinner/breakfast, I suggest you just find a normal hotel that has tatami room.

thanks for the insights bud.. onsen in room sounds so nice.. can relax and enjoy with wife 2 ppl world. any recommendation of ryokan with onsen/food in osaka of price within rm1k ?
*
Unfortunately dont know much about ryokan in Osaka. Normally those I go to are quite kampung and on a discount. There is a TV show with website that shows a bargain but mostly on weekdays. Once a while will take a day of work to enjoy with my wife. As for ryokan with private onsen, you might get it with RM1K...but that only per person. If two for two person, its difficult

Has anyone tried Japanese chicks hehe
*
Nothing special. Malaysia chicken are much better especially kampung chicken. Here most chicken are processed chicken and you cannot find those "live chicken" like we do in a wet market in Malaysia. Hence not good in making soup. Specialty in Japan is still beef if you are talking about meat. smile.gif

Opening or closing. Cannot afford both. I think i would have around 7-8 days before or after event to do some sightseeing.
*
Then just plan your budget like you would do now. Add maybe 10% to inflation, another 50% to accommodation and maybe 50,000yen for the tickets for opening/closing. All is just a guess as its 4 years away. And I think you will be very lucky if you manage to buy the tickets

Sometimes its not just the temperature. Its the humidity. Everyday when I reach my office I am already sweating even though the walk from the train station to my office is only 5 mins.

Without providing a date its difficult to judge. If its a working day, will be packed with people going to work. As for disney (s), same question as well? When are you going? During holiday season in Japan? Raining season? Hot summer??
