Day 3 Impossible. If you put Inari Shire at Middle. Because morning you already spent so much of energy on walking.
I always put Inari Shire at Morning. Less people , peaceful and alot energy to attk the Top of Hill.
After Inari Shire then Kiyomizu Temple because same. Need climbing. Put all Climbing stuff at morning before noon.
Higashiyama Area put behind after all climbing part. can slow slow walking.

We just came back from Japan last year November. During our last visit, I have put Fushimi Inari early in the morning and we started to hike up to the peak of Mount Inari as early as 7am, no crowd and fresh air. It took about 2-3 hours to complete the course. We went to Nishiki market and Kodaiji after Fushimi Inari and already damn exhausted after all the walking, so have decided to drop the Kiyomizu-Dera night illumination.

Hence, I am just wondering the day 3 per Lee90's itinerary is it too much? We went 3 places also exhausted already, my smart phone shown that we have walked 28k steps and about 21km for that day.

21km is crazy...i am also worried by the amount of walking in my itinerary..so I allocate some extra yen for taxi, just in case legs become jelly.

Hi guys , I'm going to Japan solo on 17-27/1/2016. However , I'd like to ask

My plan is I'm going to cover Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe-Nara.

Can I fully use Icoca card?

I plan to cycle for most of my trip in Osaka to go the attraction places. Is it possible ? Will stay in a hotel near Dobut-suenmae station. Maybe you guys can recommend me some of the places of attractions starting from the nearest to the not too jauh which I can cycle...hehe
