Paiseh, it's plum blossom. The Odawara ume matsuri (plum festival). Actually even for plum I was a bit surprised to see some trees almost full bloom liao.

Only In Tokyo ,you can look people running like crazy at trains stations during Peak hour....   but when i was at London..never see before like this...

1st time to Hokkaido? Then seafood was ok. Most people go Hokkaido for seafood. If go Hokkaido alot of time like me and still go for seafood then are lame.

First time going to Japan, just need some info on subway ticket
reach Narita Japan on 22nd late evening, coming back 26 early morning -  22 to 24 staying in Tokyo n 25th night at airport hotel.

If I buy combi (3 day pass + round trip train Narita-Tokyo) ticket can I set the metro 3 day pass to start on 23rd till 25th ,  22nd only for train to Tokyo ( my hotel near main train station ) or what is the best way to do this ?  don't  think I will go out on 22nd night.

Just wanna share my experience in Jan that day.

Went to skii resort at Yuzawa prince hotel. Upon arrival, me n my (5) friends walked to the lobby,then was admiring the paintings on da wall, while my friend checked us in. Then my gf saw under my shoe got some paper, when i lifted, it was a stack of japanese yen. 10,000 yen x7 pcs. I asked all my friends whether they dropped their money, none said
yes. Completely didnt do any thinking, we directly go to receptionist n return the 70k yen. after we go in our room, think think. feel abit regret or not. No regret not human

Next day we checked to see anyone claimed the money, they say a bus driver came to claim it last night shortly after we returned it.

5 days after that we went to Fuji Q highlands, my gf lost her iphone6s in the park. (we actually didnt knew it was left in the park, because we went alot places after that only realize
her phone missing). After searching all the places, only go back to the themepark, as it was our first destination at Fuji. Luckily the information center said they found it. We still had to verify that is her phone.
I guess i now believe in karma   

*edit: next morning, my friend found 12k yen in his rented trouser pocket when we went to rent gears for skiing for the day. this time he belanja us makan lunch with it, hotel food expensive

At a glance, would say Shinjuku to Hakone first, cause can go by Odakyu Odawara Line.

To me though, IMHO staying 1 night each at Hakone and Kawaguchiko is quite redundant.

18-55mm on aps-c already suffice but if want bring more zoom as backup also can.
Always have backup plan then no regret.

I'm travelling solo to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto for 10 days in April. Should I bring a tripod? I want to take photos of the sakura and I don't like selfie sticks. Also, I'm going to carry my Sony NEX C3 with the kit lens. The tripod weighs about 500g and it is the length of a forearm when compacted. Is it worth it? Or should I just ask people to take photos for me?
