My record is still same as you 30k yen/pax and that only once! My average meal for whole day is now about 2000 yen if I were to eat out for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

About the same, I spend average 1800 yen daily for meal when I was there.

The most expensive for me is only 8000 yen per pax.

Hello I am back again after a long hiatus. I am about to plan a Hokkaido trip for mid May 2017. Not sure is it too ambitious or not. Would like to ask sifu-sifu here. It's still a very preliminary alpha version... tongue.gif ... iAnyway, I prepare to get scolded by RegentCid sifu d...

Day 01: Arrive at CTS / Train to Tomamu / Check in Hoshino Resorts / Relax
Day 02: Unkai Terrace / Check out Hoshino Resorts / Train to Obihiro / Rent Car / Explore around Obihiro and Tokachi
Day 03: Long drive to Akan National Parks for the Lake Akan, Lake Mashu, Lake Kussharo. Overnight nearby.
Day 04: Drive to Uroto with Higashimokoto Shibasakura Park on the way. Not sure can fit in Kaminoko-ike Pond on the way?
Day 05: Explore Uroto and Shiretoko National Park
Day 06: Continue exploring Uroto and Shiretoko National Park
Day 07: Long drive to Sounkyo Onsen. Enjoy onsen
Day 08: Drive to Biei via Asahikawa / Arashiyama Zoo / Stay Biei
Day 09: Explore Biei and Furano
Day 10: Drive to Sapporo
Day 11: Sapporo
Day 12: Day trip to Otaru and Yoichi Distillery
Day 13: Drive to Noboribetsu and Lake Toya / Stay Lake Toya
Day 14: Noboribetsu and Lake Toya Area / Drive to Chitose Outlet Mall
Day 15: Morning flight back to KL

Is it recommended to vist Daisetsuzan during Mid May?

Unfortunately I can't fit in Hakodate into the itinerary, it's too far. Perhaps I will visit Hakodate when I travel around Tohoku region next time.

Any further advice to further shorten the amount of days?

This is Amazing race ? Kanasai.....
Day 3 Overnight at Akan. Bigger City.
Day 13. Overnight at Noboribetsu much better because got natural onsen. If me I stay at Muroran City cheaper. Morning then go visit Chikyumisaki Ryokuchi Park. (Famous spot Cape Earth)

Your Day 3 to 7 are best visit during Winter. All info on my hand was Winter Activities. Cant help you much.....

so in short its not so advisable to go all the way to Shiretoko National Park during May, should just visit during winter for drift ice? which mean probably I can remove Day 3 to 7 and continue my way from Obihiro directly to Sounkyo Onsen

Hokakido are 4 season place. I believe Akan to Uroto and Shiretoko National Park have Spring / Summer punya special which I don't have this side Info. Then Ur picture will be first exclusive at here. Even I also don't have.

Shiretoko National Park have alot famous wonderful waterfall which impossible to see during winter time.

after all finish, they will let u try 3 different draft beers
(cant remember how many can drink, FREE devil.gif )

to conclude the tour, u can start your SHOPPING TIME mode

Most of ppl goto Lake Toya and Nororibetsu at the same time
especially during the summer

@Lake Toya, they hv firework event during the whole summer
and the firework start at 7/8pm nite
bruce.gif a disappointment for a firework... bye.gif

but the mini town is not bad for holiday
a true place to relax... WITHOUT doing anything
nice scenery, walking park, boat ride and ONSEN!!!~

Hokkaido which places?

If Hakodate then go market in the morning to eat kaisendon, the go again at lunchtime eat fresh King crab, then at night go again eat uni don.

If Sapporo then morning go curb or nijo market eat kaisendon, afternoon go ramen alley eat seafood miso ramen, night time go Kani honke or other restaurant eat crab set dinner.

hi,

i plan to visit japan (my first visit) self guided during autumn (end of Nov - Early Dec) at Kyoto for 6D5N.

i'm still researching places to visits for all this 5D and get most of the info from Japan-Guide.com.

Question:
1. what time do we normally wake up there to start the visits to all the shrine? i know our time is +1hr but i heard is they have early sunrise and early sunset and most shops close early. Most metro or bus starts at 6am (japan time?)

2. Is it too much for 6D5N for kyoto only? i don't like rushing stuff and like to take thing slow. Should i add in Osaka?

8AM is a good time to start ur day

Question 1: Japan sunrise around 5.40am Japan time.
Most shop closed at 8pm and mall closed at 10pm Japan time. Most early trip of public transport such as metro and bus start at 5.30am Japan time.

Question 2: Nope. Yes, you can add in Osaka if you want.
