Just coming back from Park near by my house. Surprise today,there have sour plum tree already blossom..its 11th January 2016..its winter season now..temperature is 10 Celsius..expecting for Sakura or Cheery Blossom will blooming maybe early February or Mid of February 2016...i will keep update.

i am uncle lor..obese somemore  the philosopher path, maybe cover 1/3 of the length only...now finding bus information from kurashiki station to the bikan district, so hard to find information..okayama need to learn from kyoto on this.

half day only talking about driving..the self parking lots can be confusing..after driving the car inside the lot, we thought the metal bar, the one between the wheels, will rise after inserting coins to the machine. kept inserting the coin but it will always drop down back. then one uncle came said the metal bar will rise automatically after several minutes and pay when wanna leave feel damn noobie.

Latest itinerary for Hokkaido in March :

Day 1    KIX to CTS
Day 2    Sapporo
Day 3    Day trip to Otaru
Day 4    Day trip to Obihiro
Day 5    Day trip to Asahikawa
Day 6    CTS to KIX

Day 3 - 5, will be using Hokkaido Rail Pass

i will choose Sounkyo instead of Obihiro
distance almost the same, as Asahikawa also at the way back, save time
some more Sounkyo got onsen + better view

BTW, go Obihiro will pass by Mt. tomamu, can visit unkai terrace (morning only)
my previous trip not able to see unkai, instead i'm inside the unkai (悪天候型雲海) 
Put more time for Otaru, really worth for it
when u visit music box museum (小樽オルゴール堂本館), pls spend 100 yen to listen the "Let it go" (Frozen) song (music box)

Yes, I really like the music box museum....I spend some money having them to custom make a few boxes for me, with my favourite songs and send it to me. One actually acme with scratches and they willingly replace it for me.

It is in Otaru main tourist street. I dont think you will miss it. As for delivery, not sure if they do it overseas as it took them two weeks to arrive at my home in Tokyo

Hi guys, need some advice here.

End of this year, my university has made it compulsory to make an international trip (visit a university of that country) for each class in my batch, it will be our final year project. So  my class has chosen Japan. I really need some help here, I would just like to know is it a good idea to travel to Japan? Our uni has given us a fund of only RM5000 for the whole class. Basically the other funds we have to come up with our own. We are planning to find for sponsors and in the meantime, fund raising. We have 20 people. We plan to go between Nov-Dec '16

Questions:-

1)Is RM3k per person enough for the trip? (Including hotel, air fee, transportation, etc.)
2)Could you guys please break down the estimated expenditure per day/person
3)Other country suggestion?

I'm basically in charge of the Logistic (transportation, hotels etc.) . We choose Japan because most of the other countries has been blocked by other classes.

Reporting in from Nozawa Onsen!

Travel time was brutal - 6+ hr flight then 3 hr train then 30 min bus. And it's cold as hell up here in the hills. It's OK though, ski time!



Haven't touched a ski pole or a ski boot for I think 12 or 13 years, so consider not too bad lah.

It snowed today which was kind of cool and yet also annoying to get all the snow in your face when you're going down a slope.
