QUOTE(lee90 @ Dec 30 2015, 11:03 AM) wow, thanks for the info!! 1 hour que at kix.. thats crazy from arashiyama, take randen up to kitano, from there take bus or walk to kinkakuji..to return, take bus to kitaoji station, then subway to shijo..or rely on bus all the way..simpleytd i start working with Kyoto Itinerary and found that most of the place nid walk walk walk walk and im still thinking how to go golden pavilion from arashiyama station and then back to shijo station as im staying at mystays shijo will be staying at kyoto for 2 days, first day will go fushimi inari that side, second day will be going to arashiyama and golden pavilion that side, any other place to recommend that must go? QUOTE(cloudwan0 @ Dec 30 2015, 11:46 AM) i dont think 1 day enough for the theme park, you might consider go 1 first for 3 days, the ticket will be cheaper i did 1 day for disneyland and 1 day for disneysea..if you plan to do all attractions, of course 2 days also may not be enoughdont waste all ur time at theme park, japan got too many place to visit. |

QUOTE(lee90 @ Dec 30 2015, 06:37 PM) This is my draft itinerary for Kyoto still not finish yet, sifu-sifu comment? maybe tell us what pass are you using for the transport too, if any, or just icoca. why need so many station transfer for the 4th day from shijo to arashiyama? and if you are using the bus pass, might as well take the bus from kitano to kinkakuji. 3rd day so bare?[attachmentid=5659947] QUOTE(mt24 @ Dec 30 2015, 05:22 PM) already did my calculation i think should be fine considering we gonna hoping train / subway. some more this pass cover bus. at least we can estimate how much the transportation cost for that day. if you want to use osaka subway (without the admission discount), may consider eco card or 1 day subway pass too, better than amazing pass.2 days Kansai Thru Pass: Y4000 2 days JR West Pass: Y4300 another pass that I think usefull is Osaka Amazing Pass. Havent study completely yet but I think worth it for those who want to pusing pusing around Osaka. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Dec 30 2015, 06:49 PM |

QUOTE(lee90 @ Dec 30 2015, 06:53 PM) to make it simple, at the moment my itinerary will be for KTP pass.. not sure worth o not since i not yet start doing research on other pass, i choose KTP pass in the first place coz last few version of "Travel to Japan" thread all recommend KTP if you are using KTP then from shijo, just use subway to uzumasa, then randen to arashiyama..hankyu is slower and the station is further. then from golden pavi, take bus to kitaoji and take subway all the way to shijo. faster.3rd day still dono wan to add what in.. nid to draft something out first to motivate myself to continue KTP is good but the cost is higher too. not worth it if you use it in one city (kyoto) alone, might as well rely on 1 day passes and icoca. do the comparison. QUOTE(mt24 @ Dec 30 2015, 08:09 PM) Eco card haven't heard. Is it like touch n go? eco card is 1 day unlimited subway pass. 800 yen on weekdays, 600 yen on weekends. equivalent of suica is icoca.I think worst come to worst just purchase suica card and use like touch and go hahha And at kyoto we plan to be on bike and bus. Bus will be using bus pass. |

QUOTE(deodorant @ Dec 31 2015, 11:09 AM) Word of caution for AirBnB. When searching for an apartment, the AirBnB map show this apartment as being in the left hand side red circle area (very near tsukiji). Maybe you can try to check whether there is any airbnb advertised at the 1km address. I suspect they both belonged to the same host and he/she decided to give you the further one. I kinda suspect this happen to me for my booking in hiroshima but I got a nearer location so it is okay. After I book liao and got the address and directions, actually is 1.0km walk away in the right hand side red circle!!! ![]() |

^ thanks
For international departure at KIX, the check in counter is at level 4F: http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/map/pdf/t1_4f.pdf Before going to the boarding gates, I would like to go to 3F where most restaurants are located at. Is 3F located after or before security check / immigration? I am confused with this diagram shown here whereby 3F is after security and to the boarding gates. http://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/route/intdep/index.html So is my flow correct: - Arrives at KIX, refund Icoca at JR office 1F - Check in at 4F - Security check and immigration at 4F - Go to restaurants at 3F - Boarding gates at 3F Thanks |

If no coin locker is available for your luggage size, there is a left luggage counter at tokyo station too.
