 My New 27" monitor cant detect 1440p resolution, DELL 2715H monitor

Dear all, recently i bought new rig with new monitor which is 27" dell 2715H,
the problem is system only detect 1920x1080p as max resolution

my system as below:

Monitor = dell 2715H
Graphic card = Asus GTX 960 strix
connector = HMDI connector (come with the monitor box)

all my set-up are capable to run my monitor at 1440p, but i just no idea what went wrong...

appreciate if any sifus can help on this notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

I don't think the hdmi cable comes with the default package and may be put in the box by your seller/distributor you bought from, which means it might not support at least HDMI 1.3 standard required to display anything above 1080p.

TS monitor supposed to come with a DP cable by default? TS never try use it? If don't have TS maybe need to buy own DP cable.

or u can try this method (using HDMI cable) - create custom resolution if the GC driver had this option..

use dp or dvi cable. There should a dvi cable provided from dell.

because you didn't mention... Maybe ur's is S2715H which only support FHD?

S2715H is a 1080p monitor not 1440p

Oh what you intended to get the 1440p and mistakenly bought the 1080p model? I didn't notice the naming if you guys didn't point that out!
