Hi fellow warriors !

Just wondering if any msians have lag since the last patch where they changed the Diadem.
Been playing for about 4 months now biggrin.gif

Not using any sort of tunneling software before, ping been always sitting around 300ms.

But the line's really bad now, like 3k ms and I cant get anything done. Then later it builds up
and takes about 6 secs to even fetch data from the MB board. icon_question.gif

Can someone advice me on how to resolve this ?

I live in Tonberry laugh.gif

I'm getting some fairly epic lag myself while playing on Tonberry. It would be fairly decent for a brief moment and then boom, lagspikes galore. Was away over the weekend so I'd only noticed the lagspikes today when I started playing in the evening.

Not entirely sure if it's the patch or something on our end. I was able to play smoothly without any problems earlier this morning and the lag spikes/disconnects started up again after 10am. Just tried using WTFast and no problems since. Hoping that this gets fixed soon sad.gif

Since last month, my connection on Tonberry server getting very unstable with constant lag spike, been playing for 2 years w/o problem, now its only smooth during midnight, making end game raid impossible. WTFast not helping either. Any ideas ?

Btw, those who doing fine, which ISP you are using? I'm Unifi VIP5, would like to consider other options.

I dont use the MYR/SG/SEA servers. Just use HK/Taiwan instead. The former are unreliable and are more prone to lag spikes for some reason.

Yeah yesterday I tried using WTFast but all servers are unavailable. When I logged in without WTFast its actually accessible but with the usual lag spikes. WTFast mentioned the servers cannot be pinged due to ISP restricting it. I can only log in with WTFast after about 1am. Hopefully this do not repeat again. shakehead.gif

All this while I can play without any tunnel even when raiding (300 ms though). All of a sudden this crap occurs. I wonder why.

Im on unifi VIP30

WTFast...I think it was about an average 150 ?

Stopped using it since I can play without tunnel now, though its about 200-240 ping.
It was unplayable for a while that is why I resorted to WTFast.

Tonight i cannot even play like more than 10 minutes. i ask the people but nope of them is lagging. Some people suggest in internet VPN does solve pocket loss problem. trying to find one free VPn and give it a try. any suggestion?

I'm using streamyx and I need VPN to solve the lag issue. My fren using unifi don have the issue tho.
I started using wtfast this week, got no issue earlier... Few days later I got frequent dc and lag spikes but only certain time only, been using SG server.

i don't really like Wtfast, coz i think pingzapper is more easy and simple to use, yesterday i try it using Singapore server no lag at all. i heard a lot of people mention Mudfish VPN in google. Anyone try it before? coz i heard it is really cheap and second comes pingzapper, in case if this game really need VPN i guess i guess i will go for cheaper and more efficient one.

Currently playing at Masamune JP. Last time my ping was 178-189 (frequent timeout). After contacting unifi to refresh the port, I get 142-160 which improved a lot in term of smoothness.

You can try paste this on cmd to check your connection status.

JP Server
ping 124.150.157.158 -n 200

NA Server
ping 199.91.189.74 -n 200

Reference : http://www.ffxivguild.com/how-to-test-your-lagpinglatency/

Tested without vpn. And using google dns.

Hope its help smile.gif

Tested on my company, i able to get ping average 108 which i think is very good. haven't tried the game in the company though. Maybe i shall call Unifi to refresh the port like what you do through. Thanks

Your welcome, I'm glad if it help. By the way, this morning I tried to test ping again wirelessly (not using a LAN connection). I got a whopping 114-156ms with no packet lost. Refreshing the port does improved then.
