I am currently running 2 monitor setup with Benq GL2460 (DVI-D dual link, VGA) & Benq GL2460HM (HDMI, DVI-D dual link, VGA) and now I am considering to get a new 144hz monitor from Benq as well to be used as middle main monitor. I am limited to 2 choices which is XL2411Z and XL2430T, but I still prefer XL2411Z since I have to fork around extra RM800 to get XL2430T.

So here's the thing, I am using Palit GTX970 Jetstream as you can see above which consist 1 mini HDMI, 1 DVI-I(Dual Link), and 3 mini displayport. As of now GL2460 is connected to DVI-I (Dual link) port using single link cable and GL2460HM is connected to mini HDMI. If I were to opted for XL2411Z (DVI-D dual link, HDMI, VGA) I have below as the option.

XL2411Z (DVI-D dual link) connect to GTX970 (DVI-I dual link)
GL2460 (DVI-D dual link) connect to GTX970 ( using DVI-D to mini displayport adapter)
GL2460HM remains unchanged

The main question is will I be able to get full capacity of 144hz by using the DVI-D cable connected to DVI-I port on my GPU? Or should I just avoid the hassle and get XL2430T, is it worth the price tag?

In case it is hard for you to understand I provided the situation with pictures.

I am not so sure how the card handles multi displays. But connecting the xl2411z to the dvi-dl shud get it to work at 144hz.

Buy 3 of this cable and all your problem will be solved
http://www.ebay.com/itm/111803103346
or
http://www.lelong.com.my/6ft-1-8m-mini-dis...5-12-Sale-P.htm

Then use the 3 cable to connect to the three mini displayport on your GTX970

If you want to save money, buy from eBay
If you want it fast, buy from lelong

eBay downside: have to wait around 5 ~ 30 days for the items to arrive
Lelong downside: price is quite high

GL2460 dont have HDMI output only VGA and DVI-D DL.
Will HDMI in, mini DP out be able to max the potential of 144HZ?

AFAIK HDMI can only go up to 60hz. Unless its version 2.0.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Apologies. It seems that cable only support HDMI 1.3b which limits full HD resolution at 60Hz so the cable is not a workable solution either.
