Will there be much diferent between the core duo compared to core 2 duo?

i have a older imac 17in 1.83Ghz core duo.

Is it worth if i go for the new 17in 2.0 core 2 duo?

What if I upgrade my current RAM from 512 to 2 gig? will that do any better compare spend money buying the new 17in 2.0ghz core 2 duo?

hmm... er..have you hear of Google?

Basically, core 2 duo have new memory management, as structurely different from core duo.

I think you have a fast system at the moment. The difference between 1.83ghz core duo and 2.0ghz core 2 duo is not that great.

Unless of course, you have all the moolah to burn. Then, why not?

As for your memory, the mantra that goes around is the more the merrier. But you have to ask yourself, do you really need 2 gig RAM? If you definately convinced that you need that 2 gig for whatever reasons, again, why not.

PS: If you are upgrading, will you be selling your system? Please let me know if you do. biggrin.gif
