Does the 32gb ROM + 3gb RAM version worth it?
The only difference is only ram and rom. The rest seems the same.

QUOTE(LongLastFX @ Feb 18 2016, 06:30 PM) Battery life? Samsung note 5 proved that samsung dont need bigger battery for better batery life. Note 5 have 3000mah battery with QHD display, the SOT average around 4-5hours. 4-5hours SOT already good for normal user. You can't compare note5's exynos 7420 which was on 14nm process vs one plus one which is s801 with 28nm process. That is already an unfair fight.OnePlus One with 3200mah and FHD have same SOT 4-5hours. Not signficant better battery life compare with Note 5. So it depend what chip they use and how they optimize their software. Mate8's kirin 950 is on 16nm process and definitely will be more efficient. Coupled with FHD screen, the mate8 battery life is actually better than Note5. Users claimed to get 7hours SOT. ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by crayzee: Feb 18 2016, 06:53 PM |

QUOTE(LongLastFX @ Feb 18 2016, 07:01 PM) I mention above. "It depend what chip they us and how they optimized their software". well 4-5hours SOT might not be enough for you but not for everyone who uses phone heavily. Mate8 emphasizes on battery life. Some might think huawei cutting cost for not using QHD screen but FHD on 6inch screen is actually sufficient and the PPI is not really low to begin with.Battery life is not my main concern. 4-5hours SOT already enough for me. Back at my first post, QHD is my choice if i want to pay premium price. The reason you see that the note5 screen more awesome is due to the amoled display being used instead of LCD. Amoled colors tend to be more vibrant. If you wana pay premium price why settle for QHD? go for 4k This post has been edited by crayzee: Feb 18 2016, 07:13 PM |

QUOTE(LongLastFX @ Feb 18 2016, 07:07 PM) When i check back your picture, 4000mah battery only have 20min extra endurance time? The number is correct or not? Not sure where is the extra 20min extra, it's 20hours extra bro, almost an additional 1day standbyTalktime both scores about the same, but the web browsing really tells the whole story. Web display tends to use more white display hence the amoled usually suffer at this point. With the QHD display on the note 5, each of the pixels need to be lighted up to display white. There are more than 1.5 times the pixels to display in QHD than FHD. Another point is that not all SOC are able to get decent performance out of QHD especially in gaming etc, so my guess still stands to the point that FHD is actually balanced for current gen phones. Anything more than that requires more powerful gpu to match with QHD screens. |
