ABSOLUTELY NO such problems at all

i play marvel future fight(very graphic intensive battery eating game) on it. smooth but in some heavy modes will still have fps drop...

i personally think for mate 8 the weakness is the gpu, mali-t880 mp4 is just not as good as the mali-t880 mp12 on the s7, which is somewhere around adreno 530's level.

my friend's s7 edge, which we are playing the same game(future fight), performs slightly better in the heavy modes i mentioned, but mate 8 gets points for endurance, keeping in mind that our mate 8 renders at 1080p while the s7 edge should render at 1440p(eats more battery).

Relocking bootloader is easy but you must factory reset phone first
Just a simple command : fastboot oem relock xxx...xxx ( where xx..xxx) is your unlock code
Warning : you will get a nasty warning message of phone being insecure during bootup if you had unlock bootloader. Such warning had been so since Marshmallow ( see it too on Nexus6)
This is not Samsung phone n no such counter displayed with bl unlock or rooted done

When you register the HW ID did you get any confirmation back??
