Huawei shop in tropicana city mall , price quoted was RM2699 , same as Mate S

Definitely official Huawei Store since it's in their website as well as Huawei collection center .... besides the price , pre order delivery date is next week for collection , no confirmed date ... Seriously ? It makes me wonder , does Huawei really have shops like these as their official agent or the lady behind the counter is just " blur "

By default , it's OFF but u can root your phone and enable it



Still present especially in China roms due to Doze settings where it doesnt get out of Doze . So far , international rom dont seem to have it . Solution is , again , need to root it and use tasker to set some permission to run OR go custom firmware where it's fixed for almost all the roms

ok , huawei or can i say chinese phone manufacturer eg xiaomi as well , is getting annoying with the permission access . . Camera asked for permission access for location , i denied it , i cant launch my camera at all . Need to go to setting and enable my location , open the camera apps and only inside , turn it off again .... Like WTF , y wanna make it so difficult for users , not like its a MUST to have GPS turned on for camera to be used . If having access to contacts if I'm using SMS , it's understandable but A MUST to enable GPS for camera , seriously ?

True but how come not so annoying in Nexus or even others with MM ?

let me correct myself , if you dont give permission to your camera , u cant enable GPS location in your camera apps . If u dont give permission in your whatsapp for your gallery , u cant share your gallery's pic in your whatsapp . In Huawei , the app will not function unless all permissions needed are given permissions .

Sames goes to giving permission for your apps for notifications or else u will not getting notification from whatsapps , fb , etc . I dont recall having that in nexus 6p . Also , some apps eg titanium and titanium pro , u need to allow double permission or else 2nd apps which in this case , titanium pro will not work in your titanium app

Opening price is high but mostly sold for 1.2-1.3k .... which i think is about S6 range

Then dont buy la .... if wanna buy and scare no value , stick to samsung if u think got better resale or even better , buy Iphone , confirm got resale value

There are a lot of functions hidden in mate 8 , i cant understand why huawei decided not to turn it on . Double tap to wake for example . All u need to do is to mod some build.prop to "true" instead of "false" by default . Worst is , all these features can only be done if rooted

To have and not to use , is better than to not have when you need to use

Flashing firmware from other regions ... even when it's the same model , eg Europe L29 vs msia L29 , u cant cross flash firmware with bootloader locked . With bootloader unlocked , u can mod the data inside so u can flash your phone both ways . Also , advantage for China version where they can actually convert to global rom with Google Apps installed . It's more than just to root the phone actually .
