i gonna follow what they say... make dload folder, extract the files to that folder, then reboot to recovery?

not sure bout the full step... will only update tomorrow i guess.

i am using nova launcher rite now.
no need to root the phone - i don't even know how to root a phone.

Anyone facing issue with notifications? Not getting notifications for whatsapp, emails and instagram until I open the apps. Already turn on to run in the background during off screen. Any way to fix this? Thanks.

Just got the mocha brown come with flip case today, bought from gemfive on 9/3.
is there any way to wake up the phone without pressing the power button or fingerprint ?
My previous MediaPad X1 can double touch screen to wake up, kinda easy if the hone is placed on the desk.

It's seems that quite a few complained about a couple of issues this phone is having.

Say all u want , but for me , the mate8 camera is definately better than Note 5.

Mate 8 pictures is as close as u get to iphone 6s pics.

Note 5 pictures are overprocessed. And in low light, the pics always turn yellowy.

Every phone I had used including the famed iPhone 6s+ I also read of negative comments
We shouldn't allow ourselves to be influenced by few users negative comments. Be concerned only when most users are complaining about same stuff

You can only use stock recovery to update such firmware
Just copy all the extracted files into a folder dload
Copy this folder to ext sdcard
Switch off phone. Press both volup n voldown n power buttons simultaneously. Once you see phone bootup let go only the power buttons. Once you see firmware being update letgo both the vol buttons

Is easy to root
First unlock bootloader , fastboot flash twrp
Boot into twrp n flash supersu zip

yesterday i use internal memory and failed...
i extract that update zip, and copy all inside update zip (have metafile and upadate.app)
will try later tonite

When u connect the phone to the PC via USB cable, go to the notifications tab n u gonna see this. then you have to click the "Files" button
