Do you know that the Mate 8 has a screen recording function?

This screen recording easily allows me to make video instruction for friends and family when teaching them how to operate/troubleshoot their devices, as well as recording the most exciting parts of game(s) I play on my device to show my friends. Screen recordings are stored in the "recorded videos" folder in the gallery by default. Always make sure that the phone is unlocked before performing screen recording. Want to include your voice during the screen recording process? You can speak to the microphone while screen recording and it will be recorded at the same time.

There are a total of 3 methods to activate Screen Recording.
1) Knock on the screen with 2 knuckles (instead of a single knuckle to do a screenshot), which starts the screen recording function by letting you choose either HD or Mini format. It does take a bit of trying to know the exact amount of force to knock on the screen, but, no worries, it wouldn't be so hard you'll crack the screen.

2) Press volume up button and power button at the same time to select a file format. Screen recording can also be stopped by this method as well.

3) Alternatively, if you don’t prefer the two methods above to activate screen recording and you use this function frequently, I would recommend you to do the following:

Swipe down the notification panel > tap on shortcuts (right panel) > scroll down until you see "Edit", tap on it > Drag & drop "Screen Recording" as one of your shortcuts function.
