I felt like this is the most worthy 2k I have ever spent on a gadget.

Ok i am a little worried, currently oversea but sim show 4g despite data and data roaming been turn off

Coming from a phone with poor batt life and replaceable batt, you will be lazy especially with casing and etc. End up using powerbank and probbly like me swapping to mate 8 eventually lol

to be fair i have my own set of skeptical before getting this and yes one of it is mainly the thinking of "another china phone"

Brand perception is a very important part of selling, you can make very good product where geek would love it but to capture the mass market you need to reach out to the whole market.

I am guessing majority of Huawei sales comes from China itself? Throughout my research of this phone on youtube, i often hear the negativity of Mate 8 surrounding 2 issues; (1) the UI and (2) Availability in Europe / US.

Like i said earlier this is probbly the best 2k i've spent on a gadget, i love what they do. SP on phone out of box, casing provided meaning you can just open and use immediately. Coming from Samsung i don't think the UI is worse than TouchWiz in fact i find it easy to accept.

As uncle benny shared, we also didnt expect to have update in a frequent manner but we did. Hopefully this is not a one off thing.

I have not deal with Huawei service center but it seems to me they were trying to sell the premium service with Mate S (2 years warranty, 1 year screen coverage). You may claimed it fail in Msia because with Mate 8 in Msia i believe the focus is price thus warranty is now only 1 year. However, they are still selling this premium service in Singapore market.

if both price similar, I would choose s7e for size factor and camera.

I think it is the matter of time. when it is new of course it was great or one of the best. now already 6 months old sure have alot of competition.

use stock first lo, im buying some nillkin ones from aliexpress

my second cycle unplug 5am in the morning only charge at around 15%left on the next day 10pm. So total uptime 41 hours with 7hours SOT
