i need to check wi those who buy this beauty at Gemfive, it all come with casing? it took hv many day fr placing the order till receive this beauty on hand?

i gonna follow what they say... make dload folder, extract the files to that folder, then reboot to recovery?

not sure bout the full step... will only update tomorrow i guess.

You can only use stock recovery to update such firmware
Just copy all the extracted files into a folder dload
Copy this folder to ext sdcard
Switch off phone. Press both volup n voldown n power buttons simultaneously. Once you see phone bootup let go only the power buttons. Once you see firmware being update letgo both the vol buttons

Do you realized that the colour actually bronze rather than brown? Although in the website it is stated mocha brown, but on the box it is labeled mocha gold. I wonder if mocha gold is another official colour and we are not getting the true mocha brown colour.

Placed and order for a Mate 8 + a Nilkin case on 11th March from Gemfive
Gemfive website stated that the product will be sent out by 14th March
Received Nilkin casing on 15th but no words about the arrival of the Mate 8
Make a phone call to Gemfive customer service (03-27141700) on the 15th and was told that will be informed once they receive any news from the merchant
No calls or emails from Gemfive thereafter
Call Gemfive customer service again this morning and was told the exact same thing again by the same guy with creepy sound (like he got some super nasty insomnia and never slept for 500 years)
sigh....

Gemfive's customer service is kinda lembab.
Few days ago I sent them an email asking about sumthing, I just got the reply this morning. Duh...

only RAM & internal storage differ right? Else the same? or different quality too?

there's no double tap to wake...

I too miss the double tap to wake/sleep. mate 8 doesn't support this but can be enable by rooting. refer xda.
