Actually I have this in mind, check the diagram below. Connecting STB directly to the slave router that connects via VLAN port can work but the STB's NIC is shit, only supports 2.4Ghz, plus the slave router needs to be place on second floor so the signal is utterly useless. But if it's gonna work as per the diagram below, it will cost a lot (unless you got a lot of spare router that could support VLAN and WDS), so might as well get a powerline To those of you successfully get the wireless option to work, how's the performance?
