One of the main reasons why our games are more expensive here is that the retailers are parallel importing finished goods from overseas.

If we had a local distribution channel they will source for packaging and other materials locally. And the overall cost goes down.

Like SexyBack mentioned, he got NWN at RM75 in thailand, but it had a thai manual. Meaning there's definetly some sort of local distributor/publisher handling it.

Why is it that a few years back, all the Taiwanese games could be sold at a low low price of RM30? (even though they really really sucked lar! ) Because every aspect of the product was done here, packaging, CD pressing, etc. etc.
