Jamie Vardy is an inspirational story
Not many knew of his story

At 16, Sheffield Wednesday released him from Academy citing he is too short to be a footballer. Feeling rejected he quit football to work in a carbon fibre factory for eight months. It was during this period, he experienced a late growth sprut of 20cm higher.
After a friendly game for his town Wickersley youth team, he managed to get to join a non league team Stockbridge's Steel and play for £30 a game.

At 18, he face the law after a pub fight. He claim to be defending his deaf friend from 2 bullies but the court sentenced him to a 6pm curfew and wear electronic tags.
At games he will be playing only 60minutes before rushing home to abide with the curfew posed.
He scored 66 goals in 107 appearance over 6 years.

At 23, he joined another non league team Halifax for a season and scored 29 goals in 41 games. This spark interest from Conference side Fleetwood which paid a record non league transfer fee of £150k. Huddersfield and Crewe both decided not to sign him.

At Fleetwood, many questioned his inclusion.
Who is this lad? Main striker Seddon asked when he saw this stranger in training. Some were wondering is it a gimmick to have a non league player in the team.
It took Vardy only one season to prove himself again with 31 goals in 36 games.

At this point, Leicester city Pearson had an eye on him and signed for £1 million to join the Championship in 2012.
Vardy struggled in first season with only 5 goals in 29 games. Many critics came and Vardy himself almost broke by asking loan out to lower team. But Pearsson instil confidence in him.

Season 2013, he won the Championship and scored 16 goals. He realised his dream of playing in Premier League and bagged 5 goals in maiden 2014 season.

Season 2015 is Vardy season again. Having scored 14 goals in 14 games, he broke the record of scoring in 11 consecutive games and also don national cap.
Quite astonishing that this £45,000 a week star player was a non league convicted £30 player 10 years ago.

Had he missed the friendly game for Wickersley Youth, We would not have seen this miracle name Jamie Vardy.

Update 2016
It ain't April fool but Jamie Vardy scored his first international goal for England with a brilliant back heel goal in the 3-2 win over World champions Germany. Subsequently also scored his 2nd in 1-2 loss to Netherlands. 2 goals in 6 caps for a 29 year old, impressive!

From non league to conference to championship to premier league
