muscle ups can be done once u can do about 10ish pullups. its all about technique and core strength
admittedly, i cant do muscle ups, but i have been trying to learn how to, not a serious goal so not making much progress on it
its all about the transition between the pullup to the dip, where at one point your elbows would be taking a lot of your BW, so that transition period has to be fast. pull up with enough power for you to actually go above the bar, and angle the bar to hit somewhere below your chest/sternum. quickly shift into the dip position, and pray your arms can take your weight to dip on the bar.
one method ive been using is to use a bar that is about the same height as you, or slightly higher, JUMP up into the transition position and dip, like a semi muscle up. this is to learn the transition phase and make your body remember how to do it. once you can do maybe 5 or so reps smoothly then you train pulling up with a lil kip and angle your feet slight in front of the bar.
